I was doing some reading earlier and was really suprised to learn that their has only ever been 4 people who have won titles in 5 different weight divisions,

    The list is:

    Thomas Hearns
    Sugar Ray Leonard
    Oscar Dela Hoya
    Floyd Mayweather

Shows you just how good these fighters were

PS the list only includes fighters who won legitimate major titles in each division, not shitty belts.

The WBO really isn't a legitimate title like the others. Especially at the times both Hearns and De La Hoya won their WBO belts. It could be argued to be legitimate now but thats only come about in the last 4 or 5 years.

Anyone can win any amount of alphabet crap, at any weight they can make.

The truth is no fighter has ever been THE WORLD CHAMPION at anymore than three weights....

If you think anyone can win any type of world title then its obvious to me you've never boxed before or that was just an admittedly exagerated statement.

Doesn't mean ****. All it means is that they have the frame to be able to pack on pounds and move through the division and win alphabet belts.

leonards "title" at 175 is as bogus as they come, considering he never fought at 175.

Well I am the SHBF Heavyweight Champion and have been for 20 years. If I can win a alphabet title, then it kind of shows you they mean very, very, very little.

A world title may in the right circumstances make you more attractive to TV and the casual fancy of the sport, but it does not make you a World Champion, merely a title holder....

So thus no fighter has ever been the World Champion at more than three weights, period.;)

And the 'title' at supermiddle is just as bogus seeing as the fighters, Leonard and Lalonde, had never even fought at Supermiddle before. What a joke!
