Quit b***hing about catchweight fights!

Discussion in 'World Boxing Forum' started by Juiceboxbiotch, Jul 27, 2010.

  1. Seriously. If both fighters agree to the weight, both fighters make the weight, the sanctioning organization sanctions the fight, the Athletic Commission supports the fight.... WHAT THE **** IS THE PROBLEM??

No one is "inventing weight classes." The junior middleweight division, for example, is 148 to 154... And in theory, ANYONE weighing less than 154 may fight for that title simply because they weigh less than 154... Because 154 is the weight LIMIT... Are you guys just inventing **** to ***** about? I think so...

o one minds catchweight fights its just my belief that if your fighting for the 154 title then you should be permitted to weigh-in at 154 , no problem with non title catchweight fights at all (within reason)

If you want a title fight then you have to mark 150

The funniest part of this is seeing everyone getting all precious about their valued alphabet belts.

    But it's for a title!

Allowing both fighters to choose to agree to weigh in at 150lbs is trampling on the venerable tradition, history and sanctity of the WBC interim ordinary silver title!

Quit bitching about people bitching about catchweights...:D

But seriously...I've no problem with catchweights, but if the title is up for grabs...the champion or opposition should be allowed to fight within the full weight class range.

your obviously a pacquiao fan... stfu

  12. And what the hell do you think you know about me from this one thread??

All the should this and should that... Pacquiao pitches a fight at 150 and the WBC is all about it being for the vacant title... Margarito is all about making 150 to fight a guy who will barely weigh 150 soaking wet... I still don't get why anyone has a problem with this.. Margs fought at 147 for years... why would he have any issue making 150? The guy is still gonna come in on fight night outweighing Manny by 15-20 pounds!

  13. I'm a boxing fan, k. This has nothing to do with Mayweather.

And furthermore, why the **** am I even responding to you? Mr. "Theres no such thing as a 10-10 round!!" Guess what pal, no one here takes you seriously at all so YOU stfu, and get the **** off my lawn. KTHXBYE.

it dosent matter what strap it is , in the history books if pac wins he will go down as having won a title at light middle weight and if they fight at a catchweight in my eyes he wont have

    no title no problem
