Eddie Hearn is wanting talks with Wilder and his (many) representatives this week. No more excuses from team Wilder. AJ wants Wilder`s solitary trinket to complete his set.
If you don't understand by now that Eddie posh cockney Hearn will squeeze every cheating advantage he can get in negotiations then you will not understand Wilder ensuring he is not literally robbed blind.
Team Joshua is in the driving seat and will call the shots during negotiations, you think Wilder wouldn`t if he was the A side?? lol Wilder can accept the conditions or stick to fighting nobodies for peanuts in Alabama.
You have not sensibly addressed my points. Joshua is the A side. But having seen Takam and Parker fights, can you not comprehend how Wilder would perhaps want to ensure a fair fight? We're not talking about who comes into the ring first here. We're talking about cheating tactics...
If there is to be fairness in this fight it needs to happen in the UK. Can't trust it to be fair in America.
How come Parker fight was signed and sealed and everyone over the moon in rapid time ????? I think the answer is BOTH wanted it. Money was great for both, Parker was the happiest loser I've ever seen in the after fight press conference.
Agreed. When does the overwhelming A side travel to another mans back yard for the fight. If you hold the cards you have everything in your favour. Its business
Wilder actually has a very strong hand imo, They need wilder to become undisputed hw champion of the world , If the fight doesn't get made this year, mandatorys will get called and they will be forced to drop a belt etc, passing up the chance to make history and become undisputed champion is not an opportunity that comes around very often and they know it. This alone puts wilder in a powerful position, Still not the A side he he has something to offer that is worth a lot to them.
Yeah look at all the British officials for the Wlad fight, wait...no they where all American or Puerto Rican. OK how about getting the ref for the Parker fight, no wait that was a sticking point won by Higgins and Parker's team. "I think this shows we are taken a bit more seriously now. We went to English territory and out-manouevred some very experienced boxing people and came away with a win. I think we have earned some respect and that shows here." Higgins felt having a neutral referee was a key ingredient for a fight of this magnitude and they were comfortable with the appointment of Quartarone. https://www.stuff.co.nz/sport/comba...irmed-for-world-heavyweight-unification-fight If Hearn's is squeezing every advantage then how come he's giving up these in negotiations? How come he paid Parker at least 30% when in reality Parker was earning like 5-10% of what Joshua was making? Lets compare with how Haymon does business. All but 2 of Wilder's defences have been against Haymon fighters, the 2 that were not, 1 was a mandatory the other a short notice replacement for another Haymon fighter is Wawrzyk. When Haymon agreed the Joshua shot Martin, one of his fighters, he got 2 options on Joshua which is why Joshua's first 2 defences were against Haymon fighters. How come Ortiz didn't get neutral officials with his fight with Wilder? Why were they all American? Why doesn't Hearn have all UK officials for his fights like Wilder? He even gave Takam who had no negotiating power 2 neutral judges. Why doesn't Hearn ask for options on getting fights with Joshua like Haymon does? Why doesn't he only make voluntary defences against fighters he has on contract? Pretty clear it's only one person squeezing every advantage and that's Haymon.
Parker team helped pick officials from a Matchroom shortlist. Parker's purse was fair at best. He was an undefeated champ. In your world of honour- how much would you give him? 5-10%? It takes two to make a meaningful fight. I agree, Haymon is also corrupt. Doesn't disprove my point though. Wilder has every right to ensure Eddie and the Sky cartel don't pitch a fix.
Yep i saw it, both fighters wanted to fight on the inside the ref was poor full stop not poor and in Joshuas favour. And i didnt score the fight that differently to 2 of the judges, just the Newzealander. I also saw the Wilder Ortiz score card, i also saw the Canelo GGG score card, ive watched Ward fights, Floyd fights, ive also seen Floyd with a needle in his arm and Canelo full of peds and needle marks and its all good. America is the home of the corrupt, America is the home of robberys and America is the home of drugs cheats. Safer to have it in the UK where they are slightly biased than in the USA where they they can make the most outstanding of decisions and not even try to hide or justify it. This is no attack on my brothers from across the pond but the state of fairness in Boxing in the USA is a joke. The rest of the world has no trust in equality over there. Hell i think i would rather Joshua fought in Russia than America and that is saying something.
After the cards we were going to see in a few of Wilder's fights Joshua is just as right to be wary of heading stateside. The fact he has won certain fights by KO has covered up some atrocious judging. There is also the small matter of him getting given a breather after being hurt by Ortiz so let's not pretend Deontay is always on the up and up.
