What were some fights where a fighter just flat out quit or gave up entirely in the ring? Whether it was from frustration, injury, or just not having the heart to keep fighting. We all know 'No Mas' and the recent Victor Ortiz fight. What else is worth mentioning?

I never thought much about guys quitting in the ring. It is a tough sport, so a quitter honestly would not be in the sport of boxing. If a guy quits in the ring you know the guy who beat him has something to do with it.

I hate the term quitter. It's suggestive of cowardice or weakness which no pro boxer should ever be accused of except in highly exceptional circumstances

Was Michael Watson a quitter? After the McCallum loss he said he could have gotten to his feet but didn't see the point. He was doing the best he could with what he had yet it wasn't enough. So why continue to get the shitter beaten out of you

    Truth.
Like when Max Baer quit against Louis I cannot blame the guy, **** i wouldn't even walk into the ring with Louis let alone take 4 rounds of brutal punishment.

Though Chacon was one of the toughest fighters ever, he did quit on his stool against Boza-Edwards, though I can't blame him.

    Tyson quit against Mcbride

    He didnt quit against Holyfield

This **** is so overstated now, people cling onto it like the bible, along with the 'stand up to tyson and you will win' quote

Tyson has admitted numerous times, things werent going his way and he was desperate to win, he wanted to beat Holyfield by any means necessary, so he bit him.

He didnt do it to get out of the fight.

Its was the actions of a man who was frustrated, not a quitter. Tyson, as we all know, has always had a problem with frustration, this time it boiled over.
