Who cares whether it's good for boxing or not, the best fighters should be ranked top.

p4p ratings is a ridiculous concept anyway.

Of course, it CAN make sense if you're doing historical "all time" p4p ratings ... rating them based on achievements of how great that were at their peak, is possible ..... but to rank who are currently "the best" active fighters FROM EVERY WEGHT CLASS together in a pecking order in a single top 10, or top 15 etc, is just a complete nonsense.
    It's just hype.

The best footballer in the world is? Messi or Ronaldo? regardless of division they play in?

The best fighter in the world regardless of weight is.......?

its not that hard but of course can change in one fight.
Shrinking or growing fighters to be "the same size" doesn't work for me but I think most will agree who the best fighters in the world are even if positioning varies a little.

p4p isn't nonsense when fighters themselves aim to be p4p the best

There's a reason why fighters who have longevity are generally considered top, thats because there has been plenty of time and opponents to try expose them and not yet.

It's like every year some new breed is suppose to be capable of beating the current best. Shortsighted people. Longevity isn't established by luck, its because they are that much better than everyone else.

Name me any other fighter other than Floyd, Pac, Wlad who have made top fighters look ordinary for 10+ years?

I remember when Juan Diaz was suppose to give Pac trouble when he was LW king, or a Nate Campbell. Where are they now? If they were ever gonna give Pac trouble they would still be kings now. Same with Berto, the hype surrounding this guy..again where is he now? Porter was suppose to be the next big thing and a lot of people were saying he would beat May or Pac, his place at the top was shortlived, he can get back up again but right now he has a loss to Kell Brook.

What people don't understand is the guys at the top every year has already faced the "Kell Brook", or the "Thurman" or the "Porters" of this world, pretty much every year and more.

Canelo is another example, name me any other fighter that could have shut him out like Floyd did? Everybody laughs at Algeiri but he did beat Provodnikov, whom many were touting as a guy that could beat Pac and look at how Pac embarassed him? Bradley was p4p 3 and Pac was clearly a level above him.

The guys at p4p top have proven themselves time and time again, not over 1 or 2 wins, heck not even 10 wins, its literally over a decade of big wins of champs, the Thurmans of their era.

I like Golovkin but his best win wouldnt even be top 20 best win in Pac's or Floyds resume.

Truer words have never been spoken. Manny is now ranked higher on the list than he was back in the mid 2000's in his actual prime.

Contemporary p4p ratings are a joke.

Trip G has been my p4p1 for a couple years now. Floyd is still at #2 for me.

barely getting by chino ??? first fight was close, Floyd literally wasn't mentally prepared for that fight. second fight, come on now, being nice chino won round 4 and round 12.

those 2 rounds Floyd completely took off. round 4 he had to regroup from that vicious KO shot right after the bell ending round 3. I do NOT know of another fighter from 140-147, hell, most at 154 would had at least gone down from that shot, and that shot would have ended about 90% of the fighters from 140-154 night.

that was a perfectly timed full force counter right that Floyd literally walked into. anyone that wasn't impressed with how Floyd took that shot are nothing but 100% haters and cannot be taken seriously. I don't know HOW Floyd didn't go down or at least be hurt, and I mean literally hurt.

not buzzed like he was, he should have been out on his feet for sure. proven iron chin that NO ONE can dispute

What do you mean Floyd is barely p4p? He's the p4p best boxer in the planet, nobody can argue otherwise. Don't particularly like the guy, but he is what he is. And if/when he beats Manny, that'll only solidify his claim.

GGG has only beaten 2 former champs(none defending) in his entire pro career. Nobody wants to fight him at MW and he doesn't want to move higher to SMW. So to say that he's the best fighter in the planet is not only laughable but straight up deluded.

I agree, p4p lists are stupid. I feel you have ONE p4per and that's the best fighter in boxing which currently is GGG. we have so many untra talented fighters its crazy. when has boxing as a whole ever had this many unbelievably talented fighters ?

and p4p has nothing to do with achievements, considering how hard it is to get the champs to fight the other champs. fighters can work around the tough route to achieve more than others that are far superior fighters.

its talent, skill (way too many different skills to list so just as a whole) and what is shown in the ring. take for example cotto, he is far and away above trip G in the achievement category but every single fans knows without hesitation trip G is many levels above cotto in every aspect of in the ring qualities and would destroy cotto and send him into retirement if he EVER took on his mando,

that's just one example. another quick one, take loma, he hasn't really achieved much but that dude is a beat and 100% more talented than at least 95% of all boxers. most likely more than that 95% but I don't feel like getting trolled because he hasn't "proved" he is a great fighter.. people are crazy. Loma beating the sh!t out of a bunch of fighters he is levels above does NOT make him greater, it adds achievements BUT does not make him better than he was before since he is going to be fighting and beating fighters he is way more talented than and more skilled
