Careful...talk like that will get you in trouble with ESB's resident Klitchko nuthugger, who's name I won't mention, but he'll be e-mailing you soon. :yikes
I think the Emeritus Champion status is an absolute joke. Is there anything to say that even if Vitali makes it into the ring, he will even be able to compete? I think it is another alphabet rip off to be honest, both preventing the chance of a true unified champion, whilst also enabling it to host interim matches, raking in yet more money. What would happen, say, if Vitali decided to come out of retirement, and enforce his right as Emeritus, and Peter decided to face a mandatory contender? Or is Emeritis the mandatory? Does he take precedence over a mandatory? How many failed comebacks can he make before being stripped of his status? Does anyone have an idea as to the magnitude of the sanctioning fees paid by each fighter?
Or better yet - if peter unifies and becomes a super champion...Would Vitali have rights to fight the Super Champion or just the regular champion? What if an interim champion works his way into the mix?...Gotta love boxing...
Yes, we know, Golota has been KO'd in the first round a couple of times. Let it go, he's a good fighter who has had some tough breaks.:yep
I think the WBA is the best! A guy wins a vacant WBA championship, unifies the IBF belt. He then becomes a 'super' champion. Another guy wins a vacant 'regular' championship, but instead of fulfilling the mandatory, unifies with the WBO. Is he then a super champion, in that case the other guy becomes a super super champion? Do we then have an interim matchup, meaning we then have three WBA champions within one weight class?
I'm not sure the WBC works that way, as the WBA does. With Peter being a Don King fighter, the WBC will do whatever the Don wants........ All will be revealed.
Golota shall inevitably school Peter, much in the same way training camp shall inevitablly get the best of Robitchko! :smoke
Err, where have you been for the last year? Klitschko announced his plans for a comeback in January 2007. Maskaev was champ and Peter was his mandatory. After a long period of negotiation it was decided that Maskaev faces Peter first and the winner has to face Klitschko.
That's simply not allowed, the "regular" champion can't unify or he will be stripped. And we already had 3 WBA champs at one weight not too long ago. Mormeck was Super champ, Hill "regular" and Brudov interim.
Quitali? That is better then 'Nev'err'wa'sta. You should stick to mowing grass instead of posting. HTF do you think you know what Vitali is going to do? Lol, I am sure Peter seems real scary to Vitali after watching him get nearly took out by Mccline and Maskev. Niether of which are worthy of being Vitali's sparring partner.
:rofl:rofl:rofl:rofl Settle down round eye. The Mayoral run comment is based on an article on another boxing site.
