i would like to think that there's even a chance of this happening, but there really isn't. the more i think about it the more i feel that mayweather's gonna beat up marquez and more than likely t/ko him.

I can see this being a hard night for Floyd, especially if he keeps his promise (which he never does) that he will be more aggresive this fight. Marquez is a great counter puncher and is very tough but I feel it depends on how Floyd performs after the lay-off.

i'm definitely rooting for marquez as well. i think with floyd's skills, size, speed, and power advantages, he should be able to win, but i think it will be a very, very close fight. i think floyd, carrying all those advantages over jmm, might be a right handed version of pacquiao except that since he is a counterpuncher, will not fight as aggressive as manny and not waste his shots on pressure, but wait for marquez to come forward or make mistakes. i think he might try to counter the counter puncher. i still think manny has a more awkward style than floyd, but his power has not been the same. the floyd that ko'd chico corrales in a lighter division is not the same one that struggled with hatton and later ko'd hatton. still, no fighter, even oscar, had the skill, endurance, or patience that marquez has. i think floyd will try his left hook off marquez's jab and perhaps even drop jmm, but i wouldn't be surprised to see marquez land a right or left uppercut in an exchange that would hurt floyd badly. marquez does tend to stand in front of his opponent, so it's a different type of pressure that floyd will have to fight against. i also believe as very accurate and hard floyds shots might be, jmm was able to handle manny's power, so it's very possible jmm will handle floyd's as well. if floyd makes it a war, i lean towards marquez. if it's a chess match, floyd should cruise to a decision.

Mayweather will not cruise against Marquez, he's going to be forced to work and earn it.....I really believe that!

Floyd wanted this fight to prove a point!!! Pacman was given SUPERSTAR status for beating the same two fighters that Floyd had just beaten (Hatton & Oscar). And because he did it in "impressive" fashion...Pacman has been given the label P4P.

So Floyd wants to fight and DESTROY the fighter who "ALL THE EXPERTS" believes BEAT Pacman TWICE!!!! So now that I have QUOTED YOU...Do me a favor and QUOTE ME!

MAYWEATHER WILL DESTROY JMM. In fact I honestly believe that everyone will come into ESB the following day, full of ANGER and CRYING that the REF shouldv'e stop the fight several rounds earlier. And of course, there will be the large population of FLOYD-HATERS saying the same S.H.I.T. they were saying before all of his prior fights:

"Chavez jr. is a Warrior", "Hernandez is a Crafty Veteran", "N'dou is a KO artist", "Castillo will pressure him", "Corrales has too much Power", "Baldomir can beat speed, he beat Judah", "Gatti will never quit, he will kill Floyds body", "Hatton will dominate him and keep coming forward" and last "De La Hoya is to big, 154lbs will slow Floyd down".

And after Floyd destroys JMM, just like always...ESB Forums will be full of excuses...."JMM was too small...blah blah blah".

    My Prdiction:
Floyd TKO's JMM in the 10th...but it shouldv'e been stopped in the 7th.

    It's unlikely Marquez will win.

However, there are a few things Marquez has that will at least give Floyd some trouble. Marquez has great hand speed, which has always troubled Floyd. Combined with his accuracy, I see Marquez giving Floyd some trouble early on at the very least.

Also note that Floyd has had a two year layoff. He will have some ring rust, and if Marquez can step on the gas early on, he may be able to keep Floyd off his game for the entire night.

It's unlikely, but I hope it happens. I like both fighters, but watching Marquez is like watching boxing poetry. He just does everything so technically right.

I'll be here to clown your ass after the fight for making such a bold prediction. What you fail to realize is that JMM has short arms and his jab won't effective aginst a guy like PBF with longer arms and faster hands who can counter, has excellent footwork and defense.

JMM's jab has never been his best punch. Thats his main liability in this fight. When he was jabbing with Juan Diaz early in their fight, he was outjabbed. As for his other punches I think his amazing uppercuts will help him but i don't see him having much succes with his hooks and his right hands (though his right hand is amaizng it plays into Floyd's defence). Really the best weapon against Floyd which is the left straight up the middle is a punch that Marquez does not master.
