Truth be told he wasn't ready.

Molina put Wilder on wobbled legs, Stiverne took him tweleve and Szpilka out boxed him.

Wlad would have put him in a coma.

So he did not say it?

I don’t know how much real life experience you have in the boxing business but it’s not as easy as you think, especially when someone you trust say “you’re not ready” or “you should not do this, do this instead” and at the same time throw money at you.

It’s fine, you can dislike Wilder as much as you want but don’t make up stuff to justify it.

play semantics with someone else.... look kid, Wilder HELD A TITLE. If you hold a title, there's no 'not ready for another boxer' anymore. How do you not get that??? Your excuses are garbage.

You lack the ability to think critically. NO ONE who holds a title in boxing can use the 'I'm not ready' excuse. You don't fight for a title if you aren't ready to fight others w/ a title. Now tell me with a straight face that doesn't make sense.

“I didn’t know if I had brain damage, I didn’t know what was up with me. I was very frightened because I had these massive swellings on the back of my head. I was thinking, ‘I could end up with brain damage.’ I was concussed, I didn’t remember anything. I suppose when you get knocked down like that you don’t remember a lot. I was thinking, ‘Did I get put down four times?’ I actually got put down twice. I thought to myself, ‘You know what? I think it’s time to call it a day.’

Tyson Fury on the third Wilder fight.

The reason why I didn't quote Fury (or any other Wilder opponent) was that the opponents of a given fighter tend to be unreliable in their testimonies. Fury more so than most, in this case agreeing to fight Whyte just a few months after apparently telling himself "it's time to call it a day".

The quotes mean very little. He’s big, has fast hands and a lot of power.

    Everyone already knows that.

What they don’t know if it’s good enough to beat a world class heavyweight. So far he’s been in with one and has lost twice (three times in reality)

How many fighters, journeymen even, not only had Wlad on wobbly legs but KD'd or KO'd him?

How many fighters took Wlad the distance? Not that it's even a bad thing to win a wide decision, especially in your first title fight.

Szpilka was down on two of the judges' scorecards 74-78, down by a more modest margin according to most observers (rather than anti-Wilder partisans) and got KO'd cold in the 9th.

Again, it's dumb to say "x fighter won several rounds against Wilder" as if this matters because Wilder wasn't trying to win decisions in many of his fights; the gameplan was geared towards a KO. Unless the opponent took him the distance while outboxing him (taking account of A-side dynamics) over 36 minutes and didn't get knocked down multiple times in the process, how many rounds the opponent "won" was academic.

The quotes don't just say that if you bother to read them carefully.

Define "world class heavyweight". It's meaningless in the abstract.
