    Things heated up between super middleweight contenders Edison Pantera Miranda and Juan Pascal Monday during a press conference on Hollywood Beach, a two-mile long strip of beach filled primarily with French-Canadians who come south to Florida for the winter. Both fighters exchanged digs at each other and a fistfight was averted after some shoving. On Friday night Miranda and Pascal are fighting separate opponents in front of what will be a big crowd at the Seminole Hard Rock LIVE Arena (televised on ESPN2), but there are plans to put the two in against each other in an early June grudge match.

    Edison Pantera Miranda: Jean Pascal is a very sad little boy and I'm not his daddy and this is the wrong way to get me. I think I'm too much for you. Pascal, you are a great champ, a great fighter, but I think you are making a mistake getting involved with me. I've been in with the big names, but who have you fought with a big name? I don't know whether you're Haitian or Canadian, I don't know where you're coming from but I've got something for you. Can anyone tell me where he's coming from? HBO doesn't know him. TV doesn't know him. Nobody knows him, so tell me who he is.

    Jean Pascal: The reason you don't know me is because in Colombia you don't have cable (TV). That's why you don't know me. Everybody knows me. I went to the Olympic games. I went to Athens, Greece. You see that the ring? That's the Olympics Games. You are not good enough to beat Jean Pascal. You are a good fighter, you are a decent fighter, but in June in Montreal I will whup your a**.

    I am still trying to get a copy of the video to post.
    In the bottom pic you see Miranda shoving Pascal against the Podium and people stepping in to pull Edison away.

    :lol: I'm rooting for Pascal but i think he's being a bit too much of an ******* I actually like Miranda and have alot of respect for him and find it sad that in order for boxing to make big sales the fighters have to insult each other. Miranda seems to be taking it to heart and he really shouldn't...

    Pascal is gonna get into the head of Miranda. If both wins Friday, there you can be sure that Pascal will increase the trash talking especially since after having seen Miranda get pissed off on the stage.
    Pascal loves to provocate. It's funny because normally this is Miranda who palys that game. With Pascal, be sure Miranda will end second in that department...and also in the ring when they square off in June.

    Sweet, Edison needs to mix more the way he attacks, he throws a lot of jab and power rights, needs to have more upperbody movement and put high that left hand when measuring opponents. If he does that he will become even more deadly, in my opinion.

    which btw is totally untrue. I lived in Barrenquilla, Colombia (edison's hometown) for 4 months back in 1993. And mostly everyone there had cable tv. Jean doesnt know what the **** he is talking about. He is making the whole colombia look 3rd world which is not the case. Most of the cities are very developed and modern. Pascal needs to go there for himself and check it out instead of making outlandish, untrue claims. then again he is prolly too scared to travel there, and rightfully so!
