It goes without saying that Clottey is a huge WW who typically enters the rings at 160+ pounds (as high at 170 against Chico). He also fights big with his come forward style and his ability to land hooks and uppercuts on the inside. This, imo is a recipe to beat Mosley and it was a similar style that Winky displayed in his victories over Shane.
The thread should have ended here. RA wanted a reason to **** on PBF. If PBF was fighting Clottey and Pac was fighting Mosley, RA would be talking about how Clottey lost to Cotto and that Pac fighting Mosley would be the tougher fight. I really wish someone doesn't like PBF would at least acknowledge this double standard bull****. There are plenty of things to criticize Floyd for. But folks spend a lot of energy into pretending Floyd has never fought anybody.
He weighed 156 on fight night against Judah. That was his second to most recent fight. He's a big guy. He's not bigger than Mosley. He's certainly not bigger than Mosley in the way that Winky is bigger than Mosley. Heck, I wouldn't even call him a come forward fighter. He's more than willing to let the other guy have the initiative if the other guy wants to take it.
You know boxing doesn't work like that bro... Oscar fighting full fledged Middleweights. Oscar took 20 months off from the sport, came back and entirely destroyed a game Mayorga. Don't give me this consistently inactive mess, the proof of how he still had it and was stronger than ever was evident in that fight. Look how difficult Mayorga was for Mosley 3 years later! Oscar was a blown up middleweight who didn't look very good at that weight. That is no indication of him being out of it. Just look at the damn fight he had with Mayweather. While I believe it should've been a UD, he fought great in the first half of the fight. I highly doubt Clottey could beat him. You guys are overrating him too much. I'm just going to back away from this thread and not get into any discussions with Pac fans. This is just ridiculous.
who gives a **** what the rugged cocksucker has to say? I mean the last statement is a ****ing joke "I can't name a single fighter on Mayweather's resume that can beat Cotto or Clottey". That is ****ing ******ed. He is saying that Gernaro Hernandez P4P wouldn't have beaten a guy that struggled with Gutierrez. And what about Baldomir actually having a win over Clottey? And DLH or Shane would have beat Clottey when Floyd faced them. Prime Castillo P4P would kick Clottey's ass, so would prime P4P Corrales. As for Cotto, He was getting his ass kicked before the two nut shots against Judah. He moved north without taking on Ricky Hatton. He had his shot at fighting Mayweather, ands Arum stopped it so that is that. Castillo and Corralles would have given him tough fights, don't know if they would have beat him but they would have given him a ton of hell.
yea, let's start threads about the opinions from every wannabe and every piece of trash that has a thought on the fight because they are so ****ing relevant.
Wasnt JMM defined in "looking good in loosing & drawing" to Pac? Apart from that and before the MAB fight, JMM was top 5 p4p but really hadnt "beaten" anyone elite. JMM is elite though, no doubt about it and he proved to be Pac's equal in those fights. IMO, Clottey has proven himself to be atleast on the level of Margo & Cotto in his loosing efforts.
cotto is chinny...clottey is as durable as it gets...and as you said better D.... it would really be impressive if pac blasts josh away...wont happen i think....i smell upset....
Maybe take into account when RA said clottey is better than corrales, hoya nad marquez....he meant that he's better at the time pac is fighting clottey than when floyd fought those 3. marquez was bloated DLH wasn't exactly prime against floyd, same against pac. You said a prime DLH will crush cotto and easliy outbox vlottey, now what do you think a prime DLJH would've done to floyd??? I know he'll do better tan a split decision.
