I have to say, it has to be one of my favorite performances in a long time, to see a man like Hopkins turn back the clock and beat a young cat like Pavlik in the way he did.. hat goes off to him, I remember in May 1993 when i was in Vegas with a young Lennox Lewis i recall walking through the sports book at the Mirage Hotel and seeing the odds for Bowe v Ferguson and Roy Jones v Hopkins , at the RFK in Washington... It seems like 5 minutes ago, that was almost 16 years ago.. unreal..........

Great fighter, and one of my personal favorites.

To upset the odds is one thing. To do it in such one-sided and masterful fashion is another. Hopkins did that on 3 different occasions.

History will say that this was the night that Bernard Hopkins distanced himself from Carlos Monzon and Marvin Hagler in the all time rankings.

    Unfortunately I hate the cnut.

Hopkins might be the only present fighter that can give me the feelings i had watching some of the great performances of yesteryear. His schooling of both Tarver and Pavlik against heavy odds brought back the shock and joy i had from fights like Duran - Barkley/Moore, Leonard - Hagler and the like.
