I believe Brandon Rios long before I'd ever believe Victor Ortrees.

Garcia Boxing Academy all seem to be under the notion that Ortreeees is a puto, we know he has quit in him, so... hey, it is what it is.

Maybe you're right....I just have a gut feeling the kid makes up a lot of stuff. I'm sure the father did leave....came back....left, back again ect... No one is claiming he had the ideal childhood but a lot of things have come to light that does not corroborate his story.

He made it seem as thought when his mom left.....his dad had alrady bounced. But later said that his pops left when he was 17. That contradicted his original story.

When Garcia took over a legal guardian Ortiz was already 17...still a minor...still in need of "LEGAL" documentation to be allowed to go to school in a new state....which was a necessity if Ortiz was to live, train and go to school in CA.

If Ortiz's pops was making up this story....don't you think it would be counter productive for him to "out" his son by undermining his "story"? He has to know that Ortiz wouldn't be happy to be put out there on blast where his story will be picked apart..all this before his biggest fight of his career.

Don't you think papa Ortiz would find more value in staying quite..getting hush money and laying low?

I'm sure the social worker likes the boys and felt for the Ortiz brothers and I'm sure they are proud of Vic's accomplishments....But the social worker did NOT delve into the story enough to solidify Victor's version of the story.

Well each side has their own version of the story to tell; the big thing is that they should not try to aggravate the situation further, which Floyd looks to do (probably not intentionally, but only to shake up the opposing camp) which is not so respectable in my eyes. There's plenty of other ways to play mindgames, why toy with family bonds?

if you read that LA times link I posted above you will notice Garcia stated that Ortizs father made no attempts to contact him since he had gaurdianship.

and I dont think Pappa Ortiz would rather keep it on the low, he walked out on his kids and sees he ****in threw a diamond in the garbage now he wants it back so of course he is going to lie.....

Rios can say what he wants but that little ****er is a peice of **** anyways good fighter but a ****ing punk

They should seriously rename that site to Floyd Hype. When I watch their video interviews with Floyd it's actually kinda sickening to see how they act like a little pet dog around him, responding to everything he does as if he's God. I'm not surprised Floyd likes having them around...it's like his personal propaganda service rather than even an attempt at objective reporting.

That being said, I have no idea what the truth is about Ortiz's history. It's true that he quit against Maidana, but he seemed quite relentless against Berto, so I dunno what version will show up against Floyd.

how did he sell out his brother...if i'm not mistaken, danny started the mess, then robert came back hard.....danny is really quiet, so it's hard to tell and read his character, but robert, he's more in the limelight and even then he doesn't come across as an *******, just an honest dude.....

mentally is what he meant....as a trainer, you can tell when your fighter quits, even though he didnt "literally" quit and walk off the ring

its very simple read the LA times link and Garcia himself says that Ortizs father didnt make a single attempt to contact him when he got gaurdianship.... doesnt exactly sound like a father who didnt walk out to me......

People are hatin on Vic for the fight basicly this is typical Floyd fan BS.... they want to talk quitting okay some of the best fighters quit...

    Example

Vazquez in his 1st fight with Marquez

Hopkins in his 1st fight with Allen

    Vitali against Byrd

    Tyson against McBride

    DLH against Hopkins

    Chavez against DLH

    Freitas against Chico

    Duran against Leonard

and I am sure if I took my time the list could go on for days
