It's sad to see one of the greats go down this way.

There may have been no classier fighter than the all time great, Arguello. All those Sat. afternoon fights on CBS. His beatdowns of Escalera, Mancini, Ganigan, Olivares. A veritable who`s who of boxing. I used to box bak then, and I was always trying to mimick the cool, devastating style of `Un Flaco de Explosivo`. But, when he grabbed everyone`s conscience and heart. When after delivering a measured, brutal beatdown of Mancini. The class, heart and integrity he displayed in consoling a young, heartbroken Manicin. Was without a doubt, one of the classiest displays of sportmanship, ever seen in sports...Today`s fighter could learn something from Arguello. Whos was as ruthless of a finisher as boxing has ever seen. Yet, was always respectful; before during and after the fight. Alexis, you will be missed...

RIP Champ. You are a legend and one of the greatest fighters to ever set foot in the ring.

Have a nice time up there.

    You'll be sorely missed.

    El Flaco Explosivo FTW!!

If you want to get an understanding of why this news guts me, then watch Arguello's fight with Mancini. Watch the way he dismantles an inspired, capable fighter in the later rounds, and then consoles the teary-eyed and disappointed Mancini after the fight.

There just weren't many fighters of Arguello's class and caliber that have stepped through the ropes, and he'll be missed....

    Badly missed.

    RIP, Champ.

Fighters of today could truly learn how to carry themselves like a champion watching this guy. He spoke like a true gentleman, and carried himself as such. What a sad ending ofr such a legendary champion...
