The set up was a great film...as a teenager i used to watch black and white films late evening on friday and ssturdays on bbc 2 on my portable...remember this one..seen it about 3 times...about a low grade fighter supposed to take a dive but he wins the fight..his nickname "stoker" rings a bell ? The "mob" meet him after the fight and break his hand...the actress you refer too is relieved as it means he cannot fight again...i remember she was very pretty !
Great actress, great movie - this final scene is one I can never forget: http://imgc.allpostersimages.com/images/P-473-488-90/67/6721/L7UA100Z/poster/the-set-up-robert-ryan-audrey-totter-1949.jpg
