R.I.P , gutted .I didn't beleive it at first because one thing that alway inspired me about Sutherland was him being the same age as me and it was my birthday , jinxed turned 27 .Could have had a great career , wonder what could have been that bad.
Absolutely gutted - hears Mick Costello on 5 Live with an obit waking up, thought I must be dreaming. This world is really ****ed up sometimes.
Heard this morning. A great talent, seemed a genuinely great guy. Thoughts go out to his friends and family. R.I.P Darren, hopefully your at peace now.
What terribly sad news. Although the deaths of Arguello, Forrest and Gatti were awfully sad, there's something about Sutherland that just hits a bit harder. I didn't know him personally, but I asked him on boxrec about where he saw himself in a years time and what he wanted to achieve from his career-and got a very polite response. I saw him box at Stoke, and he walked about 6 feet in front of me during his entrance that night. He seemed to be a genuine talent and a future world champion. Having caught a glimpse of him in the crowd on FFN the other day, its amazing to think he committed suicide a day or two later. Genuinely shocking, R.I.P. Darren
