I'm absolutely gutted. My mate texted me last night about this; I thought he was just pulling my leg. This is terrible news. RIP Darren.
I wont be able to add anything to this thread that hasn't already been said. I never met Darren but I never heard anything bad about him. He seemed to be such a nice, genuine guy and he would have had gone on to a very good career. I haven't read all this thread and don't know if any details have emerged as to why Darren felt this was the only option left. Whatever was happening in his life I hope he has now found peace. RIP
just be reading this thread in disbelief as did not watch any tv last night and did not go on the brit forum this is very sad ,my thoughts go to his family and friends
He always had a smile on his face and never said a bad word about anyone. Humble honest and always came across well in interviews. This content is protected
omfg, i cant beleive this i have only just found out, this has gutted me and suicide as well so sad..
I logged out of here last night and I forgot all about what I thought at the time were just rumours then I log onto BBC Sport this morning and there I see that Sutherland has died. Very eerie considering when I was at the match on Saturday there were posters of him and Jeffries all over the city advertising the next card. RIP :-(
It's another terrible part of this horrifying tragedy. By all accounts Maloney is doing well (he released a statement this morning expressing his condolences) but it must be truly terrible to see something like that in person. I'm still hugely shocked over all of this- when I woke up this morning I was hoping it was a dream. He was so immensely talented and came across as a really, really nice person as well. It's tragic. RIP.
