i am truly gutted about this....as most of you lads are... apart from being a terrific boxing prospect, especially to ireland, he was someones son..a softly spoken gentleman who any family would have been proud of. ireland and the boxing community as a whole will mourn him tomorrow....rest in peace darren.
rip he will always be a irish legend his performances will in the olympics will never be forgotten such a shame would hav been a world champ had all the tools and a great attitude thoughts with his family
thats what made him such a great guy. Imet him in Gleasons in london he finsihed his rounds on the bag and came over to me and spoke like we were mates. Just a total sound guy.
Im sorry gus this is true.. Im truly devastated by the news, It's sickining.. Im off to bed.. Rest in Peace Darren you were a cert for a world title and a top man..:-(
R.I.P Darren. You made Ireland proud with your Olympic bronze medal win in Beijing, China. My thoughts and prayers are with you, your family and friends. God bless.
The talent and character, as a person and a fighter, this man had in abundance, yet they just werent enough to keep him here. May you be at peace now. R.I.P :thumbsup
