R.I.P. Hap Navarro

    According to Rick Farris, Hap Navarro, a Hollywood Legion Stadium matchmaker during the 1950s and a virtual walking encyclopedia of California boxing history, has passed away while in his middle 90s. I hope that Hap's family and friends accept my condolences.

    Hap had much of the history on California boxing on the Cyber Boxing Zone. Has anyone archived it? I believe the CBZ is out of the message board business due to the editor chasing people away and server bills.

    R.I.P. I spoke with the man a few times, a real treasure of boxing's better days. enjoy the reunion Hap with some old greats and old friends.

    aawww man.... hap was one of the nicest guys ive ever come across. i hate hearing that. rip.
