    Tyson Fury's uncle. He had been ill for some time.

    The reason it merited comment is that his illness was what prompted Fury to withdraw from the fight against Ustinov. An act that drew some criticism after Tyson's proclamations about those who withdraw from fights.

    I guess to those who offered that criticism, it still remains, but might be now more inclined to accept it as a reality rather than an excuse.


    In any case, it's a sad time for the Fury's and their extended family and I'm sure all within the boxing community can sympathise at this difficult time.

    Puts boxing and sport into perspective. I agreed with Tysons decision to pull out of last fight, as family comes first. RIP to Hughie Snr and condolences to the family

    What a nightmare this was, he got a blood clot after having a pin put in his leg????

    He said he'd never ever pull out. He did.

    He got stick as a result. Simple as that.

    I was one of the critics when Fury pulled out so I feel like an arse now.

    Yes but he fell into a coma just before fight night, the Fury's wouldn't have known as to whether he had 3 days or 3 months.

    My condolences to the fury family at this sad time
