I remember his HL reel KO of Grimsley, guy could really crack. Sad to hear he fell on hard times and died homeless. RIP champ.

Its very sad to hear about his passing, but he DOES NOT have the quickest KO in history. so the title of this thread should be changed.

From what I gather he moved back with family before he died.

OK, well that's good to hear. Hopefully that brought him some comfort and solace during that period.

He had brain tumor and went in for surgery. The procedure was considered routine surgery for tumor treatment and his death was sudden and unexpected.

I'm a firm believer in no such thing as minor or routine surgery.

Hilarious that Grimsley took 12 rounds of punches from George Foreman then went Lights Out in 1.5 seconds from one shot from Thunder!! lmao, caught Cold but still funny...

Vegas will use you up and spit you out, you don't have to be a boxer... I had 2 different friends move out there and they both ended up in and out of prison and living in Tent Cities there when not locked up! Both had zero criminal records and college education prior to moving there! They went to parties and ended up trying marijuana laced with other drugs like heroine and meth and got hooked for life.

Articles didn't say why Thunder was getting brain surgery... just said he died in his sleep after brain surgery in New Zealand.

Man that's heartbreaking to hear him go out like that.
    RIP Champ....

    [EDIT]
Ah ok that's comforting to hear. At least he died around the people he loved.

Wikipedia says it was 1.5 seconds

Referee immediately called a halt so they could bring in the stretcher...

if it's not the fastest then what is?
