    Dear "Money" Mayweather

It is sad news to see you leave the sport finally after so long. I have enjoyed watching you fight numerous talented boxers and never go for the easy fight:yep. You have brought great exitement to the sport like the fight with Baldomir:dead . You have also overcome great obstacles like Hatton:p , but most of all you have brought the most memorable moments and the biggest fight of this decade in the battle of the "century" the fight with Oscar:happy . Well you are the most respected boxer in history:lol: and I respect your reasons for leaving:patsch so I end this by saying goodbye and goodluck and THANK GOD YOU HAVE FINALLY RETIRED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:hi:

listen i dont likePBF as a person, he's a **** end, but no way in hell can you slate him professionally, grow up and put ur stupid boxing opinions away. He may have ducked cotto, but ffs he's a five weight world champ, i think its a sad loss to the sport to lose someone with his talents.

Honestly I was begining to have respect for him I mean he has great talent but I really thought he was ducking Cotto just to make more money and make us want the fight but now that I hear this....dam seriously I was dead wrong. When comparing this guy to sugar ray leonard, duran, chavez, hearns, or any other ATG gosh please dont talk to your kids and compare Mayweather to any of these guys cause he isnt on their level of greatness.

I wonder if PBF's ego is so big (as he likes us to believe it is), that he thinks by retiring undefeated at this point in his career he is solidifying his status right up there with guys like Leonard and Duran. Hec, if we are to truly believe what he says, his rating is right near the top if not #1.

I don't think he fully understands that very few boxing folk will ever rank him that high. That doesn't mean he won't be ranked as an all time great, but he might be seriously deluded about what that ranking is.

He aint dead, and yes he will come back to fight once his money runs out, which judging by his lifestyle, should be sometime late next year. Mayweather's accomplishments and talent, speak for themselves. Probably the P4P best of the 2000's, and enertaining figure to boot.

I dont like Floyd's personality much, but do think wonders of him in the ring, even if he doesnt comeback, I feel he deserves and has earned his respect the hard way. As far as Cotto is concerned, there will always be another fighter waiting to fight Floyd, thats just the way it works. Floyd is the best fighter of my generation.

The one true thing that suck's about Floyd leaving is that his decison will forever hamper Cotto's legacy aswell..(assuming he never comes back)

Just like although I'm a huge SRL fan, his not fighting Aaron Pryor at some point really always just seems as a lost gem that could have been.

Don't really think he's ducking Cotto, I'm sure that fight will happen if Cotto beats Margarito or if Margarito wins. A DLH rematch isn't as motivating as a Cotto fight, he might return for that but if he doesn't then I guess it's his personal choice. Don't forget that setting up a Cotto fight isn't as easy as it seems with Arum standing in front of Cotto.

This one sounds pretty legit. This is from an ardent Floyd Mayweather Hater: Its a shame! He was the best of this generation and he should be respected as such. Next too Sweat Pea and Roy he was the most amazing talent I had the preivalege of seeing. God bless. And thanks spectacular preformances.

I honestly can't see him ducking Cotto or any of the other WWs. I mean Roger had stated that Cotto would be after DHL 2 and Hatton 2, and honestly if msoely could fight Cotto straight up I don't see why he would be scared of him (thats not to say that I think he would win, in fact I think he would lose but it doesnt change the fact that its enough of a pick'em fight for floyd to not be afraid of).

I only hope he's invested his money well.
