I don't want to bet anything I love Thurman but his chin is so weak and as Collazo proved his body isn't the strongest either, Porter's chin is very good, the Broner KD wasn't that bad like I said earlier more of a stumble, Guerrero had a lot of success swarming him in the latter rounds and would have most likely tried it earlier in the fight had he not been afraid of Thurman's power, but once Guerrero went down he figured he had nothing to lose and went all out and ended up hurting Thurman in the 10th, and Keith didn't deal well with Guerrero's pressure at all, and unfortunately for him that's all Porter knows how to do. So if Porter can keep that kind of pressure on him I can very easily see this ending in a wide UD for Porter and possibly a KO victory.
You say he had a lot of success, but Thurman was still winning most of those rounds LOL, and "a lot of success" is a huge overstatement . THurman had another head popping out of his forehead, as for Collazo, getting hit in the liver doesn't mean you have a weak body and his chin isn't so weak. His chin is questionable, until he goes down or gets knocked out you can't make those statements. If you can easily see this as Porter winning why not ban bet or put up a little money? I'm 90% sure Thurman wins this fight(I had it around 60-70% for Broner), I'm assuming you have around the same odds for Porter, wouldn't it be stupid not to take money when you think you have a 90% chance?
Btw odds are very close on this fight with Thurman slightly being the favorite. 1/2 for Thurman and 13/8 for Porter.
He had a lot of success in the last three rounds, but Guerrero didn't do a hell of a lot the first 9. Thurman has never had to face someone who is as wild and strong as Porter, with arguably a very good chin, he's been rocked by lesser punchers than Shawn and Keith doesn't have the physical strength to keep him off of him, so I can see Thurman getting rocked countless times in this match, Brook is most likely far stronger than Thurman with most likely equal power and it was all he could do to corral Shawn. Thurman will go down for he first time in his career and he might not get back up. But no bet.:nono
haha, I'll even do this bet with CST, since I know forum time is more important than cash. I'll bet 50 bucks for a 5 month ban bet for him. He can use an alt but no educate yourself threads, and no threads to imply that it's him, but he can pm the people he's close with on the forums to say who he is. What do you say CST?
A lot of success? He had success in spots, he wasn't dominating Thurman in either way, both of them were getting their shots in, and thurman was badly injured by a headbutt. Shawn's punching power is overrated as hell, he destroyed Paulie, but who else has he knocked out? He couldnt even knock Broner down. What makes you say that they're lesser punchers than Shawn? Karass hits harder than Shawn. So in other words you're not confident in your pick at all, and you'll most likely call a robbery and score the majority rounds in the RBR that Thurman wins for Porter .
He had Thurman running for his life in round 10 11 and 12. I've seen no evidence Soto-Karass, Chaves, Bundu, Collazo, Diaz or Guerrero are close to being the puncher Shawn is, while he's no KO artist he's definitely no powderpuff that you're making him out to be, if it goes the distance I wouldn't doubt a robbery that pig Adalaide Byrd was far too generous to Broner in their match, so based on the possibility of a robbery which is highly likely, I'll take a pass on a bet, but if I were to bet, I'd bet money not my time on here.:yep I have enough money, but I have a compulsion to do my Educate Yourself threads.:nut
What evidence have you seen of Porter having more power than Karass? Guerrero never even hurt him, the only thing he hurt him with was a headbutt. The only time Porter has ever impressed with his pwoer is against Paulie, he's never showed anything to prove he can hit hard as Karass. Let's bet money then, like I said talk is cheap. Anywhere between 10-100 bucks. Thurman isn't a draw like Broner, the only reason Broner would get the nod is because the dude is FAR more known than Thurman. Thurman has as much recognition as Porter, you could even say less, so that excuse is just a cop out.
I fancy Thurman but I think it's going to be very competitive and a good fight. Not totally sold on Thurman's durabilty yet but he's ticking a lot of other boxes for me.
I don't think he will KO him but I do see Keith avoiding the inside game and using the ring to frustrate Porter. I think this goes to the cards with the nod to Keith.
