what purpose would that serve?

 

I woulda just ate more and not done any upper body strength training like he did.
He’s gonna need his speed, snap, and power more then unnecessary bulk. Unless he’s planning on clinching and holding a lot.

 

its not unnecessary, though. extra muscle will not slow your movement as long as it doesnt interfere with your bodys ability to react reflexively. in other words, as long as your muscles increase in relation to the extra strength needed to carry the weight as fast as your reflexes allow, you lose no speed, and the extra muscle adds power and strength with more rigidity in the frame, unlike fat which just makes waves of energy.
sorry it sounds so vague, i just reread it, but i mashed a bunch of complicated training theories into a couple of sentences that only make sense to someone who is familiar with such theories, and can fill in the missing connections. im too lazy to try to untangle it and fit it all in a post. i will just say that i expect mikey to show more power, like hurting spence to the body kind of power. i expect mikey to look faster and more explosive than youve ever seen mikey, land 3 punch combos fast.
i also expect a more complete boxer than youve ever seen in spence, trapping mikey kind of complete.
its going to be fighting on a level that you will want to tell your grandkids about.
im not just all of a sudden hyping up this fight or these fighters in the last 2 months, ive been very consistent for a couple years about how they are part of a handful of best of this era. i have yet to be wrong about either of these 2 guys and what they can and will do.
trust me, we are in for a treat.

im trying. if a couple of friends are able to make it that weekend, we plan on driving there, bout 4.5 hours if we avoid daytime traffic. i just know its going to be an instant classic. if i go youll find me at the poker tables at the winstar after the fight.

 

It could be a draw.

Really, my initial confidence that Spence would destroy Garcia is almost gone now. Now I expect this fight to go all 12 rounds.

 

i would love it, as long as they give us a fight to remember. that would be the ideal outcome, for me as a huge fan of both. im a fan cause ive known for a while that both guys are special, and ive enjoyed their fights more because of it... i know these guys are leaving a mark on the sport.
i may as well come clean about everything i see. for pbc, it makes more sense for it to end in a draw, where you have a crowned and uncrowned champ. there would have to be a huge rematch, where everyone will want to see if mikey got better used to the weight and if they learned anything from the first fight. or they can fight any other top 5 on a ppv. either one against pac, or crawford, or thurman, would be ppv. i think the establishment will be looking to see it as a draw if it goes 12 and its remotely close, which it will be.

 

he's never fought once at the weight and you think he has a chance?

 

This could go two ways but imo both scenarios involve Spence winning,could be like Morales v Pac 1 where the bigger guy just has too much.

 

every post ive made about the fight in the last couple weeks has made it pretty clear that i do.

Don't think it's due to gamma rays as with the Hulk. Conte uses more sophisticated methods to get him there, I guess.
