R.I.P. Vernon Forrest

Really terrible. A fine boxer & geniunely good guy outside the ring, not just some popular can like Gatti.

 

Too many boxers dying of late, and ones who are recently retired or still fighting. Seriously, there's been 4 boxing deaths in a span of about a month. I think some UFC guys need to go.

It is not just a bad month, but a bad year for celebrities and sport figures. RIP Champ.

 

I wonder how his girlfriends kid got away unharmed? I hope these guys either get the lethal injection or get put behind bars and are made to be someones *****.
My prayers are with Forrest family and friends.

 

man, another awesome fighter lost. what the hell is going on right now? i've been a fan of vernon's for a long time. another tragedy and massive blow to the boxing world. he seemed like a really cool guy, too. what the hell was he doing with a gun on him? he will be missed...

 

I'm not sure I even knew he was scheduled to fight Martinez on Saturday.

He was a cool guy and he did A LOT for children in Atlanta. I am sick right now because of this.

 

Does the dead penalty is up in Atlanta? Shooting someone from behind is the most coward thing a thug can do. We are going to know soon who they where.

With all the deaths going on in boxing this year my eyes immediately got watery after reading this one.

Also they committed the crime in front of a young child which is another issue. If they get caught they are going to be charged with multiple counts.

Very true, if Vernon was alone that's another story, but that wasn't the case.

Thugs have rules and i am sure one of them is not to mess around when children are involved. I hope they just turn in to custody.
