What can you say , damn that is rough . Always liked Vernon , even after his injuries he still was elite and represented boxing very well. He had a lot more to give.

This is crap news....it sounds like after he was robbed he then pulled his own gun out and chased the guy for some time shooting at him before Forest then got shot in the back.

Maybe others were with the robber?

Its sad when a guy needs to pack a gun to defend his own stuff :-(

This is the 3rd death of a high-profile boxer this year...Arguello, Gatti, and now Forrest..And in which all 3 doesn't deserve to die the way they did....This is truly sad for boxing...

    RIP champS...

Man, I've been working away for a few weeks and didn't hear about Gatti. That news and now this are both tragic.

I went to Vegas to see Vernon beat Mora last year on the undercard of Casamayor vs JMM. Seeing him so happy and jumping into the crowd to celebrate with his family is the image of him that I'll keep forever.

    Rest in peace champs.

Arguello, Gatti now Forrest. Did someone anger the Boxing gods or something?
