As you get older you can't absorb punishment like you once did when you were young. You can't judge someones chin when they are in their 40s.

not interested in 'what if?' posts about fighters who never go and make it happen.
sorry, but it's giving DM too much credit for something he could have made happen - so we wouldn't be sitting here guessing about the result today.

you're blaming the true lineal champion for not chasing a fight with a man who won the vacated belts! DM was the man at 175 not jones! if anyone should be chasing anyone its roy jones!

Dm has been regulated to the to the dustbin of history, while Roy Jones is worldly recognized as one of the greatest fighters of all time.

Dm should have fought his mandatories, then fought Roy Jones is wanted to be remebered as fighter.

Jones was dropped by Lou Del Valle in his prime. Jones handpicked and fought a lot of questionable opponents for about 8 years because of his fragile Glass Jaw.

Jones never beat a lineal, unified, or undisputed champion in his whole career.

Jones also handpicked like no other.

Jones is a Glass Jawed fraud. How many more times does he have to be KOed for you people to see this?

So how many times did he go out before cutting weight from heavyweight?

    Checked.

    Move along now.

He has terrible punch resistance now. However he did not handpick opponents, that is a lie. Call him a glass jawed joke, but don't make up lies.

well i do know that with some fighters the punch resistance goes down as they get older....and yes in his prime when got hit, he handled it preety well
but he did not fight a big puncher who pressured him every round like DM would

but when you mention guys like chavez, lamotta, those guys were in huge wars that take a toll on your body and chin...

to those guys saying DM had no chance, that is ****ing insane, he was an excellent fighter and had a chance for sure....and was the actual linear champion

but yeah to a lot of people the fight ofcourse had to be on roy's hometurf lol

last time i checked a world champion is just that a world a champion, so why the hell couldn't roy fight outside the usa....

another little fight....after jones put down DM,
DM offered him a winner takes all fight....jones did not accept

also merchant mentioned that hbo told him not to mention DM's name during jones's fights

Glass jaw? Some of you people are ****ing morons. Two of the three times Jones has been knocked out he was struck along the left side of his upper head in the cerebrum area.
