Racial and Nationalistic Tension in Boxing?

I dont get it, then again Im not nationalistic and there are no great boxers from here, I also feel no need to root for white people just because they are white, why would you limit yourself like that. I like boxers from various countries at race based in different things, same with the ones i dislike.
I feel i can relate more with football rooting for dutch clubs in europe and the national team.
Same way with friends its kind of corny but race and nationality isnt important at all, personality, things in common are way more important.

Simple: Boxing=Life and knowing that our Society is ruled by the principle of independent nations and nationalistic pride and that some nations have a predominant race such as Afro, Asian, Caucasian, Northern European, Southern European, Latin, Latin-American and so on... That's basically it, otherwise they wouldn't play anthems b4 fights and fans wouldn't come out with nation's flags to the events.

Being a white guy, I don't think much about racism. (Chris Rock was right)

Being a fighter myself, I don't see race in the ring. I see talent and ability.

Being a military veteran, I have a lot of American pride, but its all in fun. A little competitiveness isn't a bad thing as long as its good spirited.

I will say, when I see some ghetto ass **** about boxing getting headlines it makes me wince. I'm always trying to promote the sport as legitimate and not some thug fest.

Seeing Floyd on TV for beating women, Chisora/Haye smashing bottles on each other, Pavlik getting DUI's or Spadafora shooting his pregnant wife... that **** is also about us versus them. Its civilized people versus trash with money.

 

this tensions between boxing fans were all started by floyd mayweather fans.

they used racism as an excuse when objective boxing fans of different race started to question floyd's ducking ways.
