hi guys i wanted to post something that has bugged me for a little while because as a boxer in canada, i train mainly in one gym and vist a few others for sparring purposes, because of my exposure to these gyms i have noticed a pattern.

everyone will talk about the american and spainish fighters but if you mention someone like say chagaev or whatever you will get a blank look or a neagative comment.

it is like a lot of the lessor knowlegeable people just pretend that the russian/eastern bloc fighters are not even out there. they will talk about the guys 10 years ago when (sorry if this offends anyone) most of the heavyweights were black. it is like alot these guys stopped watching weight classes where ex.soviets do well.

now the more knowlegeable people usually just make wise ass comments that for example there are no good heavyweights around these days and non of these guys are worth watching.
they will often put out the weakness in the soviet style boxing.

when you look at the walls of alot these clubs you will see the spainish/american fighters posters and pics but you will almost never seen a picture of european fighters not even guys like joe calazghe. the club i went to today for example had a pic of jeff lacy but not calazghe.

this relates what happened there, me and my friend came in and did some light sparring with guys we know there.
after training talked to one of the coaches, a black ex heavyweight, the coach mentioned how there are no good heavyweight these days and my friend who is russian disagreed and mentioned a few names.
the coach said "ahh who wants to see 2 commie russians go at it" and started laughing.
my offended friend said in response "well you sure didn't mind see 2 blacks go at it 15 years ago, why is that?"
they started yelling at each other lol....the coach ofcourse called him a racist hhahaa

anyways that is enough about my rant...what do you think?

One thing I guarantee you, you go to Russia/ex-Soviet union and you will encounter massive amount of racism against blacks in general. Thats just the way human nature is unfortunantly.

I heard that there was a huge riot when Japan beat Russia in soccer a few years back. There's a rising tide of ultra-nationalism in Russia.

That said, I don't really like the style of most Russian fighters because they have fairly pedestrian, boring but effective styles. The one Russian fighter I was high on was Kostya; that guy was awesome! Sidorenko is another fighter I like watching but its hard to get any tape on that guy.

Hard to become a fan of foreign fighter when 39 of there 40 fights cant be seen by most unless they look hard.

On top of that some are just boring and we get 0 of there promotion, why should they care?

People dont become fans overnight for no reason

I truly believe that after the Communist block fell apart and Chaos took over in some countries, there is a real human market or a direct (mobster) channel from Eastern Europe to the United States & North America and most managers are clearly making big doe with not so clear moves under the daylight... Obviously nobody gives a **** if these guys are unprepared to gamble high in the HWT american circuits and can get seriously hurt, only that it's something different that would refresh the boxing scene, make more money and also fill up some of the american's pride-box, I have said this too many times by now, here and elsewhere, and hope not to be censored or ilogically bashed by false moralists. If anything that I reason is false or wrong, what would be the difference between fighting out of the US or from Eastern European countries?... We are all the same and so opportunities should be given, but which opportunities have all those eastern european girls that are chanelled into the porn circuits of Miami? That is the very same root of the eastern european boxers problem, people...

And you are an expert on Russia,eh?

More and more Africans illegally enter russian soil in order to live and work there. You can find quite a handful of African refugees living in Moscow's wide canalisation system.
And what do you mean by spreading lies like "so many blacks have been shot in Russia"?
There have been some insignificant incidences within the last couple of years.Yes,even a handful of African students and immigrants have been killed by some young criminals. However,Russia is a huge country with over 180,000,000 inhabitants.
Most blacks are grateful to be allowed to live in Russia participating in its incredibly outstanding wealth(for an African of course) leading a life without diseases, civil war,and famine.
I guess most Africans are happy to be able to live in Russia and not in their backward continent.
Russians are hospitable.Unfortunetely ,there are some small millitant groups and gangs of young criminals who dont hesitate to attack a foreigner because of the colour of his skin!

into the porn circuits of Miami?
No,my friend, the American and western european market is not the one which most of the gangs specialized in trafficking girls have in mind.
Every year thousands of poor Ukranian,Moldavian, and ......yes,to a lesser extent,Russian girls are sold into slavery in one of the numerous Arab countries out there.
There is no protection for those girls in countries like Lebanon,Jordania,Arab Emirates, and so on.At least in the USA or in most western european countries there is protetcion up to a certain point.
In the Arab countries there is no protection at all for foreign girls who dont speak Arab and dont believe in Allah. They are treated like human scum there, worse than animals.

So "actreesses" Katja Kassin, Sandra Romain and Anastasia Romanov in Bangbros, West Coast and Evasive Angles "productions" cannot be compared to Serguei Lyakhovich ( or Petrovich in Phoenix under DKP), Oleg Maskaev ( promoted by Dennis Rappaport), Timor and Sultan Ibragimov ( by Mr. Boris Greenberg) in their adventures in the US?... I thought that the Porn business was based on the West Coast and Florida and fed by East Europe mobster agents, my fault then. Sorry...
