Wasnt enjoying the excessive Leonard-hugging earlier but the bit about Hagler-Hearns was quality WAR :bbb Ive got the Hearns book they're on about, its a quality read.
I can't say I found it too great, it didn't really dig up anything not heard before, however I think it always good when boxing gets some sort of coverage, especially on the BBC. :good
I thought it was well put together, Buncey was brilliant, love listening to his stories and when he is no hold barred and speaking how he feels without restriction he is second to none.
Manny Steward speaking about Hagler-Hearns really stirred up the emotions for me. Back then the fight was on my mind constantly and I so wanted Tommy to win. The fight made me finally truly appreciate Hagler though. Thought Mike Costello was really good tonight.
Did they talk about all the fighters/fights or just Hagler/Leonard? If they did i bet they undersold Duran, which tends to happen when mainstream stations speak on this. Duran always gets talked about as a wild caveman. When in fact he's one of the most skilled fighters to set foot in a ring.
