Had no idea Peter McKenna was a boxing fan. He was a bloody brilliant footballer I know that much - and I don't barrack for Collingwood - so I hated his guts .

Saw him a few months ago in a petrol station. He drives limos for a living these days I think.

    Good stuff.

He's got something in common with Lionel you know DSS.

...he also produced a 'hit' record.

I think the song was called "Something to Remember" & then there was a follow up record, & I think that like Lionel's songs they were written by Johnny Young.
I don't know if they were hits, but the records probably sold well around Collingwood to his teenage girl fanbase.

McKenna's record was released just prior to the 1970 Grand Final. Think it was about as success as his team Collingwood were against Carlton in that final - they lost!

Have a feeling Peter was on saturday morning TV with Daryl Somers many years ago, and he may have been replaced by a certain ostrich.

Overthrown by Ozzie Ostrich after the first 8 weeks.

Must have been a tough one to digest.
