First of all can you please pass on my congratulations to Paul on an outstanding career , secondly could you please ask Paul has he an opinion on mediocre fighters swaning around calling themselves world champions after the effort he put into his career ? Thirdly can you please ask Paul of his memories of fighting here in Ebbw Vale Wales 32 years back this month v the late Johnny Owen ( rip ) ? Ie how was he treated in that then tough steel town ? I remember asking my late father if I could travel up there to watch the fight without him ( he was working ) but he point blank refused to let his then school boy son to do so, I won't be able to listen to the show sadly but would appreciate any feed back if at all possible .
Thanks very much mate and if I'm so lucky as to win a prize please raffle it and send any proceeds to the Kiwi miners fund .
We certainly did. He has very fond memories of the bout. He said that the Matchstick Man's crew brought out a banner with a big skeleton on it before Paul walked out. We'll post a copy online next week when we pick up the CD.
Unfortunately was unable to listen to the interview - now back amongst the real world again and will keep an eye out for the upload - keep up the good work RR.
