They may want to do some "better safe than sorry" concussion protocols on MLG. That was a lot of heavy leather to close it out. In light of that, Foster's over-the-top celebrations were definitely somewhat tacky.

I don't get how kalajdzic was "close to winning a world title" as they stated, sure he got a title shot but he was completely demolished and never stood a chance

Probably not what they meant, but the Beterbiev loss aside you can make a case for him being close to a world title in a timeline where he doesn't get robbed against Browne, as that had a WBC bauble and high ranking on the line...so in that alternate universe he gets the opportunity to pound eight shades of dog**** outta Stevenson in late 2016 or early 2017.

My question is, who tf is Michael "The Caveman" Ellison?

Commentators are hyping up that he beat a few undefeated Brits, except I've never heard of any of them either.

 

I agree that that was a terrible decision, I watched it live at the time but its still not a given he defeats even that version of Stevenson at all. He was getting on in age & looked vulnerable at times but still had devastating power & kalajdzic doesn't have the best defense.

 

Stevenson was like Wilder (with admittedly better movement and jab, if only because of his time under Steward), in that if you could avoid getting nailed by the right cross on the way in - or left cross in Adonis' case - and cut the ring off and rough him up, you stood a very good chance.

I think Hot Rod was unlucky not to get a try at least.
