The Choi fight was the same thing. Limon was getting drilled by the guy.

I have never seen a fighter get beat to the punch as often and take it the way Bazooka Limon did. Everyone beat him to the punch and you cannot get hit harder. And we're talking hitters like Arguello . Chacon. Navarette. Boza Edwards. Choi had a great straight right hand. And on and on.

That Limon would get hit dead nuts in the middle of throwing his wide hooks. Picture perfect textbook stuff. How he took them for so many years, I'll never understand.

I think Bazooka Limon is the greatest southpaw slugger in the sport. What other southpaw sluggers lasted? Usually they got beat to the punch by a right hand and their career went downhill quick. Not this guy.

I'm getting better aquainted with Limon and he's become one of my favourites. As tough as he was awkward.

Too bad Jose Luis Ramirez didn't have a trifecta with Limon and Chacon. Every description of Limon so far matches Ramirez and then some. Gave wars to Arguello and Roserio, half-hearted efforts against Mancini and Whitaker.
