He started young and accomplished a brilliant career, but at 33 he's shot after all the punishement from so many battles,he was a typical brawler with poor defense just relying on his heart and power...and it worked while he was younger, but at this point he will get seriously hurt if gets hit by bigger punchers at WW.

  3. Morales has aged a lot in those 2 and a half years, I fear this will only emphasize the almost tragic ending to a brilliant career.

Gosh, I hope he still has it. He looked completely done in his last few fights. The fearless warrior was out of him. Mayweather would be a good fight for him because Mayweather isn't a cut throat sort of fighter; he'll let Morales survive to a UD. Pacquiao might kill him, and so would a lot of guys.

That's my suspicion, anyway. Maybe he has found the fountain of youth... Heck, Mosley is still going strong, and he's substantially older than Morales.

Morales is far and away my favorite fighter. It'd be an awful shame if he were to sustain a critical injury during this comeback. Why not just open up a gym and be a figurehead? I've never been a tremendous athlete, so it's hard to appreciate how difficult it is to walk away from the life. The rush of being in the ring, laying it all out there, the crowd pulsing with energy, must be beyond description. Still, when he retired, it looked like the work didn't thrill him anymore...

    Well, here's hoping.
