It depends what happens on SAT, IF both guys (Trout/Alvarez) look beastly like everyone anticipates they will then I expect Mayweather to peruse 147lbs & 140 fighter's exclusively for the rest of his deal.
(Relinquish his WBA belt that Trout currently has & wash his hands w/that WT class)

he'd get more credit if he moved down to fight them and it'd prove to some of these dickheads that Floyd is small when they beg him to fight guys like GGG at 160 :nut

But if this is true and he can make 140 easily, as his Dad has said so recently.

Then that just makes Floyd's achievements at 154 look even better.

I didn't think Mayweather looked too flash against Cotto and don't think Floyd has any business fighting at 154.

 

I agree PBF has no business at 154 and I've said it since he first fought Oscar there. The guys there would dwarf him in the ring on fight night. Most of those guys will come into the ring on fight night weighing 165-170 while PBF would be around 152 the weight difference added with the fact that he's past his prime is too much. He needs to stay at 147.

 

Agree, I don't get why people can't see this. They are quick to call him a ducker, when the Guerrero was named as a possible opponent he's ducking Canelo for this bum. When Alexander name was thrown in the mix he's ducking Guerrero his Mandatory for an easier Alexander. He can't seem to win no matter what, I would love to see the canelo fight but won't blame him if the fight doesn't happen.

 

I don't want to see Leonard/Norris or Jones/Tarver again.

 

If he went down and fought the winner ofn the upcoming tournament, then that would be a nice scalp to put on his resume.

 

I remember him saying something about 140. I think you may have misinterpreted him.

 

They want to see him fight at 154 because it's the best chance to see him lose to a naturally much larger man. They don't care that guys could outweigh him by 15 pounds or more in the ring on fight night. ****ing pathetic really. Hell most guys at 140 weigh more on fight night than PBF does at 147 on fight night.

 

The guy eats at Wendys and House of Pancakes and is stil 148 a month out from the fight.

He could make 140 if he wanted to.
