Rafael: "Floyd Wants to Compete at 140"

140 is the weight Floyd should be fighting at but he's that dam good he can move up and down the weight divisions.Id love to see Floyd clean out 140 before he retires some good fights there too,Peterson,Khan,Matthysse and Garcia.

 

Yeah but he would probably have to lose muscle to do it and would most likely be drained.

 

How would he be drained???

Eat a little less, maybe dehydrate a few lbs in the week before hand...easy!

He'd still be the same size on fightnight,so he wouldnt be losing any muscle.

Mattyse,Peterson,Rio,Alvarado are all bigger than him in the ring.

Some by 5-10lbs!

 

Thats cool. There more big names at 140 now and more talented boxers. Floyd can put up more exciting fights fighting guys natural to his size as well instead of pot shoting.

 

I said most likely but who really knows? PBF doesn't have much fat doesn't really gain weight on fight nights at 147. Seems like to me it would be hard for him to lose that much weight without losing muscle but hey I could be wrong.

 

Actually there isnt.

Bradley,Marquez,Pacquiao,Berto,Alexander,Ortiz,Paulie,Guererro is a much better line up than whats at 140.

But it would be interesting if he fought the winner of the 140 tournament

Well he have already beaten marquez, ortiz, and soon to be guererro. Top Rank will not let him fight Timmy or Pacquiao. Nobody wants to see Alex or berto.

So from POV i think a fight with Garcia, Peterson, and Lucas will be pretty interesting.

 

what do people not get about the HBO and GBP feud. There are much better more AVAILABLE options at 140.

 

its credit to floyd really that there isn't really a challenge at 140 or 147 (except Manny, but that ship has sailed)

I just want to see floyd in a 50/50 fight for once, so I want him against trout or canelo personally.

If he's gonna stay at 140 or 147 then only fights i see as offering a challenge are Bradley, Manny and Maybe Khan Stylistacly.

But we know bradley and manny aren't happening. So if we can't get him in with a 154, then i'm gonna champion the Khan fight at a stadium in England

I think Canelo/Trout is optional at this point of his career. No reason to forfeit all his advantages to someone coming up. There are plenty of better fighters that is more skilled than those two but Floyd can actually fight in a even level field.

That would be an interesting move, he is not a big guy at 147 and came in at 151 for Cotto at JMW. If he moves down to 140 there are a lot of quality names and more options. people want to see him move up to 154-160 on the regular are crazy haters, the guy started out at 130. I always thought 140 would be his optimal weight but is it going to be to hard to move down so late in his career?

 

Floyd won't pull a roy jones jr, too smart for that. Floyd is the top dog, all the 140 pounders are going to come to him he doesn't have to chase them.
