I think Marquez is underrated a bit, but Herrera was really, really good. I can't see someone who took Olivares' scalp twice and split fights with Castillo losing to Marquez.

I think it would be a great fight, but I too think Herrera's got too many guns here.

    Herrera is my pick.

He is not mentioned anywhere near enough on this board.

Tough one to pick. I lean Herrera but wouldn't be surprised if Marquez won.

What makes you think he stops Herrera? Not saying he couldn’t.

I watched some Marquez the past 2 weeks against Johnson and Israel and am leaning towards picking him...but I am still going through a few more Rafa fights in the next couple of weeks. But Herrera was a tough dude as well.

I’d pick Marquez but cautiously. He had power all the way through the fight. I don’t think he’d fight Herrera too aggressively and his jab was longer and stronger. I think he could coast through rounds particularly in the middle of a fight and that’s Herrera’s chance to pile up points but overall I think he edges it with the jab and the moments it becomes a firefight he carries the edge in power.

Would perhaps require a series to separate them.

Bump. I think this could be a firefight and I favor Herrera slightly, if we're talking about the same Herrera that pounded Olivares twice and made Anaya quit.

I like Herrera here. Superb boxer and I think he’s a bit slicker than Marquez. Probably points but it could turn into a firefight like Herrera-Martinez.

It would be compelling viewing whatever way it went.

Herrera was just outright a better fighter, though Marquez's size might make it hard if he could make the weight same day without being a corpse or had the day before weigh-in.
