Juan Manuel Marquez's recuperating are some of the best in the business...... Rafael Marquez's???? Not really.

In the first fight with Vazquez when he got dropped in the 3rd round his legs were still stiff in the 5th round. In the second fight??? He got dropped in the 3rd and didnt recover and was stopped a round later while still hurt and wobbly from the same shot in the round before.

And Lopez responded pretty good to getting hit with a haymaker by Concepion in his last fight and outside of the Mtagwa fight I've never even seen him hurt and even in that fight it was more stamina then him being hurt.

If Juanma doesn't win I won't return to the United States for 30 days and that's final!

I hope Marquez wins this one but I still question his training discipline. Remember when Beristain was saying he didnt come to the gym everyday like he used to be. I think that lack of dedication might cost him. Lopez better not understimate his power though

This is my hope, and it doesn't feel like an unrealistically optimistic one.

He looks to be in decent shape.

    Who's his trainer now?

Screw it, I'll go on record saying that RM hits harder than Joshua Clottey straight up.

Rafael looks good. I think this is the perfect fight for Juanma to reach that next level before facing Gamboa. He should be able to win because he's bigger, younger, and perceived as the stronger fighter, but Marquez is a Hall of Famer with great power and great boxing skills who still has enough to upset Juanma. I think that if Juanma fights smart he should be able to handle Marquez and still gain a lot of experience.

Marquez looked horrible against Mendoza. He looked OK against Vazquez, but whatever he used to be, Vasquez was a journeyman when he met Marquez. He went life and death with a fighter who hadn't won in six fights, right before he met Marquez, just to prove it.

That people are not only picking him to beat JuanMa, but that they are looking past that fight is astonishing to me. He's going to get brutally stopped. I just hope he doesn't get hurt.
