despicable. Not that they will fight, but that Marquez was made his mandatory. Marquez coming off 2 losses. Why doesn't the WBC let other contenders get a shot at the title?

    btw whats your source

I'm happy to see it again. I agree that there are better fights for each of them but at least we know we are going to get a barn stormer

See this is whats wrong with mexican boxers...(im not talking **** about mexicans, cause im mex). They go to war w/each other and pull their hearts out and in the process they beat their bodies to death. Then a young boxer comes in and takes them out when they arent in their prime or just detiriorated. A good example is Manny Pac, and perhaps Juan Manuel Lopez will be doing the same by making his name by beating beat up fighters.

As much as I like Marquez, and I'd enjoy a Vasquez-Marquez IV, this is really unfair to Vasquez, and quite obviously a corrupt move by the WBC.

Mandatories are supposed to be about ensuring that worthy challengers get their shot, not the sanctioning bodies playing matchmaker.

What on earth justification does the WBC put forth for this?? They should definitely be investigated.

The justification is that Marquez is still a fantastic fighter, arguably a top 10 P4P fighter still, and that he deserves another shot because there was nothing to seperate them in the series.
