I think Marquez is too rigid, flatfooted, and defensively-open to beat Canizales. Canizales was the anti Marquez stylistically in a lot of ways - he was really smooth, bounced on his feet, was fluid, quicker of hand, slipped punches well, integrated defense and offense beautifully, and was tremendous at working angels offensively. More of a "naturally instinctive" fighter if that makes sense. Marquez was a warrior with deadly compact punches at bantamweight and would hold the edge in power (even if he doesn't have the punch variety Canizales showed), so he'd have his moments for sure. But I get the feeling he'd be a bit too straight-up, hittable, and robotic. I don't think he's the more skilled technician here by any means. My guess is Canizales wins decisively at his best. Maybe even a stoppage actually - especially if the left hook to the body gets there enough.
I think Orlando is overrated some? On this forum but I think he would manage to outbox Rafa for a decision
Yep. He had lapses against Billy Hardy. That could lead to a bad time against Rafa. Canizales could lose focus.
