He said both parties came to an agreement. "Heard deal is agreed to for Felix Sturm to defend his middleweight belt against Ronald Hearns on Feb. 19 in Germany."

WBA's MW Top 5 from Nov:

    1. AVTANDIL KHURTSIDZE
    2. DAVID LEMIEUX
    3. MATTHEW MACKLIN
    4. NOE GONZALEZ ALCOBA
    5. ANDY LEE

Lorenzo might have been Sturm's mando in 2010, but that was his only ****in fight throughout the year.

Hearns has roughly 4" on Sturm. Hearns packs a decent punch too. Interesting.

Sturm should win a wide UD, but Hearns' got somewhat of a puncher's chance.

What do you guys think will be Sturm's schedule like in 2011? Who is he gonna face in a compulsory defence? Winner of Golovkin-N'Jikam? Winner of a top 5 eliminator? Or is he too 'Super' of a World Champ to face any of these guys? Go ahead and say it, the WBA is a joke.

    It's a slim puncher's chance. :yep

Sturm's 2011 will be another year of using his boxing to dominate the guys in front of him, but not taking any risks.

Golovkin-N'Dam winner? Yeah, and monkeys might fly out of my butt.

I would probably pay more to see that than I'd pay for GGG-N'Dam. Winged monkeys? :D

got to love the WBA for more unworthy challengers...
and got to be AMAZED at Sturms ability to have ZERO SHAME and his promoters ability to sell this horse ****

boxrec ranks Hearns 58th in world at 160

here are the records and rankings of Hearns last 5 opponents since he was
knocked out by harry joe yorgey who was 21-0

Robert Kliewer 10 wins 11 losses ranked 202 in world
Delray Raines 18 wins 8 losses ranked 143 in world
Marteze Logan 26 wins 43 losses ranked 413 in world
Shadrack Kipruto 18 wins 13 losses ranked 302 in world
Patrick Thompson 15 wins 14 losses ranked 210 in world

Hearns is going to get outjabbed, outboxed, and outpunched. Sounds weird to say that.

Okay, Ronald Hearns is going to get outjabbed, outboxed, and outpunched. There we go.

Sturm is a little *****. His division's heating up and he's still taking on these limp dick challenges. Don't German boxers have any pride?

18 Nov: Promoter Lou DiBella told ESPN.com that he has had "initial conversations" with Ahmet Öner of Arena-Box, who works with middleweight titlist Felix Sturm (34-2-1, 14 KOs), about a match between Sturm and Ronald Hearns, whom DiBella promotes. "We're talking about it for the first quarter of next year," DiBella said of the fight, which would take place in Germany. "We love the fight because Sturm is not a big puncher and whatever our guy's deficiencies are, he can punch. Sturm isn't what he was, and we believe it's a winnable fight, so we are having those discussions."

...a winnable fight? Who here said they like DiBella as a promoter again?!?

Sturm is the biggest fake "champ" after Sven "the running man" Ottke. I hope they hand-pick the wrong opponent one day that knocks Sturm out with some weird lucky punch.

    :good

I hope Hearns will knock him out.

Maybe Steward can help Hearns a bit, but it will be very difficult for Hearns to win in germany on points.

Sturm had only 1 fight because of his lawsuit against Universum. During that time he wasn´t allowed to fight. You can bet that he fights at least 2 times this year, probably 3 , perhaps 4 times. He has something like a 12 fight contract with SAT1 and he isn´t the youngest anymore.

That fight isn´t really a challenge. But then he always fought 1 ranked opponent, one "money-making" fight alternating. Not that I like that but it´s understandable these days. I don´t think the Sturm-Golovkin fights happens this year.

Well, so far he fought more ranked fighters than anybody else in the division. So, you are a bit harsh. Thing is that every second of his fights is against a bum. Why? Because there are still between 6-10 million viewers who turn in and watch it.

The wba is a complete joke they have like 4 champs in the middleweight division, instead of letting them face sturms they feed him bums, of course since the oscar robbery this dude has lost his balls and doesnt care anymore, as long he can have his few easy fights per year and pick up a paycheck.
If he really had guts he would fight martinez or pirog.
