Those two names together would've sold out huge venues and possibly been on PPV, and that's when GGG wanted to them- when they were still big names. Ward isn't a big name anymore. He is forgotten. He's fighting on the BET channel in front of 300K viewers. GGG SHOULDNT go up to 168 for fight him. It'd be stupid. It's financially stupid when he has Canelo and Cotto right below his feet. So, until Ward can become a huge draw, then Golovkin isn't going up to 168. Fact.

Chavez Jr. was never a huge draw. Froch had a couple of domestic fights that did well in England. It's odd to see a guy claiming that no one wants to fight him yet curiously also claim that the only fighter around his weight class that would be favored over him needs to build up his name. If Ward isn't a big enough name for Golovkin, then Golovkin surely isn't a big enough name for Canelo, Cotto, and certainly Mayweather.

Cotto is the lineal champ in Golovkin's weight class. Canelo fights in Golovkins weight class.

Why the hell wouldn't you want to fight bigger names who are in your own weight class?

GGG should try an prove his worth stopping crying about bring ducked when you're turning down what would probably be his career best win(if he won) when it all said and done.

Smh a 38yr old Mayweather is currently lineal Champ at 147&54, yet GGG can't move up for 1 fight.

Here's a reality check if GGG beat Ward then went back to 160 he might get more fight's because it would be a huge win. Which would make ppl interested in fighting him, ppl aren't getting in the ring now because his name isn't worth anything. Here's his chance to change that.

So then what are Bum-love-kin's options?

    A) Continue fighting TOMATO CANs for short money and get no respect.

    B) Fight Ward @ 168 for good money and get respect for taking on a REAL challenge.

We all know that you GolovIdiots don't want to see your hero lose [and lose BADLY] so you're ALL hoping he elects to choose option A...

Option C. Stay at 160 and make Cotto and Canelo look like puzzies.

Golovkin isn't a big enough name for Canelo, Cotto? Are you kidding? Isn't Golovkin the one that's been all over ESPN, ESPY Awards, and in Mayweather and Oscar de La Hoya's mouth? Where have you been... I'm hearing more of Golovkin from boxing/casual fans than I am Canelo or Cotto.

People aren't getting in the ring because they're terrified. Golovkin fights on HBO and that would be more than a good reason for some fighters to take him on just for the exposure. Cotto is doing everything he can to avoid Golovkin and keep his belt. Golovkin is one of the biggest names at the middleweight division so stop.

GGG should go on the "Toney" diet, gain a couple pounds, and fight Ward at 168. FFS if he comes into the ring rehydrated at 168 and Ward at 175 so freaking what? Go back and look at boxing history...this isn't such a huge weight discrepancy.

I'll be sorely disappointed if GGG ducks this fight. A loss at 168 would not prevent him from keeping his 160lb belt and there would be no loss of prestige if he loses to Ward.

Only way I'd give him a pass is if he would be contracted to be the mandatory for the winner of the Cotto-Canelo fight.

The 164 request is just negotiating. It has to be a 168 fight and GGG's camp knows this.

This is the fight I want.

Which is more important to them than fighting Ward and what they're trying to do.
