I think GGG's destruction of Murray is a better win than anything Canelo's ever done. Like his squeaking by of Lara and Trout.

If Golovkin is such the big draw then why does Cotto, Canelo and Ward cash bigger paychecks?

If Cotto and Canelo don't want to fight then the Triple Duck can't use them as an excuse to DUCK Ward...

I doubt Kovalev presents as big of a challenge to Ward as Trinidad did to Hopkins..

    LOL.

No, not even close. Murray was a NOBODY. Alvarez' wins over Lara and Trout trump ANYTHING on the Triple Duck's resume...

The best thing Murray's done is lost a close fight to the same Martinez Cotto destroyed. Trout has a win over Cotto and was a unification fight, GGG won't even fight Lara. Alvarez could be a WBA Titlist at 154 right now but felt PBF was the True Champ. One got beaten up and dropped the other beaten an ran. Both close for different reasons but when your ACTUALLY FIGHTING TOUGH comp you get competitive fight's sometimes.

If he gets completely Lacyfied, I agree, his stock will fall. But if he wins, he wins. If he loses, but it's a great, competitive fight, he wins.

Seems like the risk is worth taking. Assuming the money is good, which it would be. Surely a PPV?

I said this same thing yesterday about the thread about the fight. Damn I;m good.:yep I knew that Ward would have no problem with Kovalev at 175 but if he goes up there he will never be able to come back down and the GGG fight will never happen. So it makes the most sense that Ward fights GGG first then move up after.

Murray moved up to 168 and is going for his second win at the weight tomorrow night , why can't GG??

What has 3 BUM done since defeating Murray? Manroe - a nobody off Friday night nights who had a pitiful 29% KO Rate :rofl

A real champ doesn't chase paper belts- he goes after the best fighters.

Plenty of title holders at 168 for GG.

Which champs did he beat at 160 again:blood:rofl
