That's a lot of yakkity yak, a fight between Ward and GGG would be huge, bring in big numbers and it won't all be for GGG. Ward is a star and people know it. GGG is entertainment and people know that. Put them together and you have a big drama show.

Yeah. I would think Cali or Nevada, but definitely not Oakland.

He is going to but he doesn't want to go up then come back down etc.. yoyo'ing with your weight is not good. It's a smart move but GGG's team clearly don't want the fight yet.

Then don't go around saying you will fight anyone 154-168. He should clarify and say he will only go down to 154 or up to 168 for big fights. His fans will believe everyone 154-168 are ducking him anyway though.

if cotto wins in nov i still dont think he fights ggg...he may even retire....if canelo wins? you think hes going to come back next fight and fight ggg? i personally dont think he would....so yer looking at prob best case scenario for ggg he gets canelo in novemberish of next year....so thats still almost a year and a half wait......can we really take another year or year and a half of these ggg fights?

Yeah the champ is too busy ducking him.
GGG is the man at 160, who cares about belts?

I'm pretty much against catch weights for any reason but I want to see this fight.
GGG IMO should move up to 168. there's nothing much to challenge him @ 160 anyway. GGG vs. Ward could be a great competitive fight. I know catch weights exist to gain or minimize a perceived advantage the other fighter may possess.
A truly great fighter can, and should deal with the existing weight class limits.
that goes for May, Pac, GGG, or whoever!

Would be hilarious and mind blowing if GGG KO's Ward.. then Ward beats Kovalev:lol:

    But let's be real,

GGG vs Ward, 50/50 164 - it'd be a close fight, favoring Ward. If it's 168, I think Ward would embarrass Golovkin.

Kovalev? um, let's just say Ward's going to be in deep **** :hey

We'd probably see this fight if the two sides could iron out the kinks. The situation with the weight is pretty significant. If Ward's SMW title is on the line, then it should be held at 168 in my opinion.

Actually, it would be even sweeter if Golovkin could get the winner of Cotto - Canelo first though. He deserves his chance to become lineal MW Champion.

I don't think Ward would "embarrass" Golovkin at 168, but Ward would clearly be the favorite. I'd expect a decently competitive fight, but I'd also expect Ward to win. I think you're probably correct about 50/50 at 164, but, as you know, no one really expects Ward to say "yes" to 164.
