I have to agree with you....there are principles in life that hold true and this is one of them.

I AGREE WITH THIS IN FACT I TAKE AWAY MARGO'S VICTORY OVER COTTO, HE CHEATED IMO

margo hasn't beaten anyone at the top yet, his best win is cintron. And a poor performance against clottey

Why cheat when you are the overwhelmng favorite against an old fighter in Shane and not when you are the underdog against a young one in Cotto???!!!... Where's/what's the rationale there?...

The rationale can be that Margarito's team saw some slippage in his game during camp, or Margarito got a little too comfortable after the big Cotto win and didn't have the best training camp.

So they decided to cheat for this fight, and also the fact that CA is not as strict with Dean Lohius in charge in terms of sending inspectors into the dressing rooms.

Not that I necessarily agree with that rationale. I tend to agree more with Jabba Rafael.

Even if he didn't cheat, Cotto would of most likely still lost. He gassed, no way he would of lasted 12 rounds.

There's too many factors to take into play to say this.

Let's just say Margarito did load the gloves last July.

When he fatigued, it had much to do with him using his legs a lot and getting hit to the body. How do we know how he'd react if he were hit with regular gloves? The punches may have taken less out of his energy if they were not loaded. Cotto may also not have used as much legs because of the (lack of) respect for Margarito's power. He may have felt more comfortable trading at close quarters with him. He also may have gone to the body more, as I think Margarito's countering to the head played a role in Cotto's reluctance to attack Margarito's body. There's also the mental/relaxation factor, as you can relax more (therefore not got tired as fast) if you get hit with a shot and it doesn't hurt you as much. Then of course, there's Margarito as well, as he would have not only a physical edge (harder punches) from loaded gloves, but also the mental edge as well of knowing his punches would add up. He could also be more relaxed when he punches and let the damage build up.

There's too many factors, and hard to gauge who would win a fair fight, if in fact it was not a fair one when they fought.

And while some would say "if they fight in the future with more intense supervision from the commissions" and say that the result of that proves it, I don't agree. Again, there would be more factors to take into play (the aging/beating process of both guys, maybe just having a bad night, adjustments, etc..).

It's just a question mark, IMO.

he gassed becaused of the impact of those cheats, when you are getting hit hard, you will lose a lot of energy trying to defend

Cotto could have won that fight

Journalist today write out of their arse......gut feeling say's Dan Rafael.......

I'm sure he's got a gut feeling for everything, as fat as he is......

I'd encourage Dan Rafael and other lazy journalist to do their homework before writing about gut feelings......

The NSAC has already come out on record saying that they are very much certain that Margarito's wraps were legal against Cotto......

Have'nt you bozo's heard.....unlike the CSAC, the NSAC supplies the fighters with everything they need to wrap their hands.....the fighters cannot bring their own gauze and tape to wrap their hands.....so there is absolutely no way that Margarito had his hands wrapped illegally, unless Capetillo dipped a piece of rolled up gauze into water right in front of the inspectors and Cotto's representatives.

In California, since the fighters can bring their own gauze and tape, Capetillo and many other fighters already bring their carefully made knucklepads with them, its up to the inspectors and the other camps representatives to inspect them before they go on the fighters hands.......

.....but in Nevada, since the fighters must use only the wrapping material supplied to them by the commission, the guy doing the wrapping must make his own knuckle pads right in front of the commision inspectors during the wrapping process.

This is'nt at all hard to understand, and anyone who wants to continue to suspect that Margarito had loaded gloves against Cotto, 1. has'nt done thier homework as to how Nevada operates as far as them providing all the materials to wraps.......
    or
    2. Is'nt very bright.

People need to get educated and stop using the Margarito had loaded gloves as a crutch to convincing themselves why Cotto lost.

Why is it hard to believe that landing a hundred windmill hooks and uppercuts is not going to bust someone's face up? :patsch

Margarito took Cotto's bombs and laughed at them, he kept the pressure through the whole fight and kept landing his punches.

Besides that, the Nevada Athletic Commission came out and stated that they provide the gauze to the boxers and inspect the wraps accordingly.
