Your opinion is preconceived and as a result of no substantial evidence whatsoever. You would like to believe Antonio was guilty, and therefore he is.

    Of course not.

Preconceived verdict? I expect that from people like him at ESB but from the CSAC themselves? Disgraceful.

Nobody should have been banned until the "illegal substance" was verified, and some evidence was brought forward.

Apparently the CSAC made the choice that no matter what, the fact that there was a moistened gauze insert in that knuckle pad warrants a one year suspension.

I'd personally would be fine with that if the CSAC came out and said that to date they have'nt discovered a plaster like substance, but only a wet insert.....but they've let the media create an avalanche out of this by them keeping silent on the matter of the semantics of why it is exactlly they're banning Margarito.

......then the CSAC comes out and says that the evidence points to that Margarito may have been unaware that the wet insert was in the knucklepad, but that they would suspend him anyways because he's responsible for Capetillo.:patsch

At the very least, even with the suspensions, the CSAC should have made it public they were not suspending Margarito for plastering his gloves.....but they did not at all make that clear to the media......and of course, they have run with it!:-(

Steve Bunce on Setanta Sports 2 the other night was doing some broadcasting for the weekends fights, naturally. Anyhow, when he got int briefly discussing the Antonio Margarito situation he basically implied, with a laugh and a giggle, that Antonio cheated for his fight with Miguel Cotto. He implied it - it was blatant.

This highlights the problem we have. People with a responsibility to be objective and patient are manipulating their powers whether they realize it or not.

Steve Bunce, Dan Raphael, Lennox Lewis, Jim Lampley, who next?

I was speaking in a sorta philosophical POV...

    Collective thinking.

    The answer to 2 + 2 is 4

But if everyone began to say its 5 and believe its 5...then the answer is 5.

Exactly.....and the CSAC had the powers and the obligation to put that nonsense to rest by making sure it was clear that to date, they had no evidence of the knucklepads containing plaster.

If after they test the knucklepads and it comes out nothing but gauze and moisture and nothing plasterlike.....the commision, and every bogus journalist like Dan Rafael is going to owe Margarito and apology for implying that he plastered his wraps......but I doubt we will see one apology......

.....instead, I expect more of the same......"you see, Margarito cheated, he wet the gauze on his handwraps".....and they wont even give a straight account that it was a small insert in the knuckle area that was wet, they'll let their readers believe Margarito whole hand wrap was placed in a bucket of water....

I've been a boxing fan to long, going 30 years now, and I know how these journalistic Bozo's operate!

The same trainer has wrapped his hands the same way for 11 years. Even if the gauze is old, why is it hard? Why is hard gauze used in training, which is where it apparently came from? We really need the lab results to come back so we know what was in the gauze.

It puts his other fights in doubt sure , but the fact is there is no evidence to say he cheated so , innocent until proven guilty !

although I have to say it changed the way I see him even for trying to get away with it V Mosley.

I thought he cheated in the Cotto fight, but due to some information, I believe otherwise. I really wanted to think it was true, because of the way Cotto was taken to task.

So, Mr. Fatass Rafael, why no mention of Roid Mosley being a cheat? Apply the same logic you have in Margarito's case, and where do we end up? We can play these games all day long.
