    Round 1

Carto is walking Ruiz down, but waiting a pace off, rolling his fists over each other, all barely contained whirring energy. Lots of feints by Carto, and Ruiz is reacting with either pull-back flinches or hasty counter attempts, in turn stung by Carto's flush counters in rapid combination low to high. Ultra-fast shoeshines below the guard by Carto as Ruiz cautiously takes his measure with a patient, steady jab while feeling him out, planting his right foot in exploratory fashion next to Carto's left to see if he can jockey for superior positioning, but thwarted by Carto's melting off to one side and letting the leather fly.

    10-9 Carto

    Round 2

Carto snaps the southpaw's head back with a flush right hand lead, stamped into his ajna chakra. Ruiz is easing his way back across the ring, toe-heel on his feet in rocking-chair fashion, throwing defensive jabs at the chest of Carto. Ruiz seems to be in full survival mode as Carto follows and throws fastballs in bunches. HUGE PULL-COUNTER LEFT HAND FROM OUTTA NOWHERE BY RUIZ AND CARTO IS FLATLINED!

    KO2!!! HOLY SHIT!!

22-10 (15) journeyman - described by the commentators during the intros as "okay but chinny - violently one-shot upsetting a 17-0 (11) house prospect. That was insane.

Not gonna lie I had Whitley Jr. Edging Rivers by a round but was cool with a draw. No way can I even see Rivers 4-2 tHough. Sounds a like they were a little cooked inbfavor ofnthe local guy.

Crazy thing is, looking at his record that isn't even the best win of El Pelón's (or Baldie's) career - he actually holds a win over former super fly champ Daiki Kameda. :nusenuse:

...yeah, Carto was down & unresponsive for over three minutes...

Kind of scary. They say he's sitting up on his own strength and lucid now. Probably heading for a CT scan asap. Went down like he took a bullet, probably hit on the canvas pretty hard as well.

Never directly follow a boxer, cause you're probably about to land in a trap.

Theater of the ****ing unexpected, man. Aside from the scariness of the moment, the buried headline is Ruiz being yet another source of inspiration to every massive underdog out there constantly fighting with the deck stacked against them.

this fight starts at 1 hour and 9 minutes into the feed; I'm watching & scoring it as though it were a walkout bout w/o knowing the result...
