Puleev and Ustinov are about their normal weights so thats good

Rahman, i laugh at everyone who said 240 and 245 and he looks great,,,bull****, what a fat disappointment you know whose just lookin for a check

Povetkin at 229 is about where he was vs Huck and thats a little heavy, granted he was 231 vs Chagaev and he seemed in better shape which is weird, Povetkin always looked like he had chubby baby fat on him but im willing to bet he is in better shape than last time out

People just don't seem to learn. You'll hear the same crap being talked about Solis, "oh, if Solis comes into the fight in shape he'll dominate x, y and z," completely oblivious of the fact that Solis has never come into a professional fight in shape in his life.

I actually had to do a double take when I read people saying that Rahman had a chance because "he looks in great shape." Jesus Christ, where do these deluded buffoons come from? Hey, look, Povetkin is crap, but he's not that crap.

Rahman's about as shot as JFK at this point. He'll be lucky to make it out of the fourth round. And that's assuming Povetkin doesn't even hit him.

I don't think Rahman lasts three rounds. I guess he's limping around and is all messed up before the fight even starts.

Povetkin DID work hard for this -- Kostya Tszyu does not put up with slacking.

False. Frames can hold and not hold certain weights. Like for example when Tito fought RJJ at 170. RJJ looked great and Tito looked like a baby with some belly fat.

Rahman beat Sanders like 12 years ago and weighed 245, a mere 11 pounds less than he is now. Rahman is a huge dude. I agree he should be lighter, but he's 40 and it's probably harder to get down to 230-240.

Nice post and very very true re Solis.

Kostya Tszyu does not abide slacking and made Povetkin work -- he is ready for this. One of his main sparring partners told me today that Povetkin is "very focused" for this one.

So I think it will be over quickly.

Stop apologising for this fat slob. Rahman's overweight, no ifs or buts about it. Samuel Peter was even thicker set than Rahman and was still overweight at 240lbs. If Rahman's too old and shot to get under 240 then he shouldn't be fighting, simple as that.

He's going to get absolutely destroyed, and I think Povetkin sucks big balls BTW.

    Blah blah ****ing blah.

    Ignorant post.

A dude with Rahman's size can fight around 240 EASY. Considering his age, and how the body degenerates over time, he may not be able to get to 240 without killing himself to do it. Comparing Peter and Rahman doesn't make sense either. They are both big dudes but I think Rahman was better built. Rahman has weighed in heavy in the past and didn't look awful. Watch the Sanders fight and tell me you think he looked 245.

I am not disagreeing that he's heavy, he is. I think 245-250 was optimal at the most. He's only a few pounds north of that.

only thing that comes to mind, is he looks like a soft 256 and not a hard 256. getting older he has lost alot of muscle mass that accounted for his huge size in the past....ive watched rahman since he was a prospect and he looks like crap, and its disappointing he came into this fight against a guy he can beat, but his chances are slim..no pun intended

Seriously Rahman looks like a drunk chubby old bum off the street. I'm sorry to say but I feel ashamed of him and sorry for him.

Maybe Rahman's plan is to push him around the ring. We will know for sure tomorrow.
