Rahman has gone 4-0 (4) this year.

    He has beat

    Clinton Boldridge KO1 (9-15-1)

Shannon Miller KO4 (16-4 and lost by 1st round KO to Joe Mesi)

Damon Reed KO6 (45-13 and was stopped in 2 by Monte Barrett)

Marcus McGee KO1 (stopped in 3 by Sam Peter and stopped in 1 by Briggs but later changed to a NC due to Briggs tested positive for a banned substance)

    Big deal right? Right!

Actually, I don't have a problem with as long as he steps up in 2011. What has usually been Rahman's pattern though is to feast on these bums until getting another title shot. I don't like it.

After losing to Maskaev he went 4-0 (3) 1NC leading up to his loss to W. Klitschko. The only meaningful fight of those 5 was the NC3 to James Toney and he really didn't look good in that fight.

So he's 8-1 (7) 1NC in his last 10 fights but has only had 2 meaningful fights... and he didn't look good in either one of them. What is his goal?

IMO, All are welcome into the HW's..
    It' a sad affair.

Set them up, Klit's will knock them down.

I think Rahman has some fight left in him but I hate watching him fight bums just to set up another big loss vs. a top fighter. He could make plenty of money just fighting some rematches that he would have a chance at winning like-

Tua III (0-1-1, but some feel he shoudl be 2-0)

Maskaev III (0-2, but was way ahead on points prior to both stoppage losses)

Holyfield II (0-1, competitive fight until Rahman started growing another head due to as clash of heads)

Toney III (0-0-1 1NC, somebody needs to get a win over the other)

0-4-2 1NC vs. these guys but he really should have been able to come up with 4 wins vs. Tua and Maskaev.

He should have been able to get at least one win over Toney.

He fought well vs. Holyfield but came up short... they should have had 4 more rounds to work with though.

Even a rematch with Monte Barrett would be decent.

Yes, some of those would be watchable, with the exception of another Toney Rahman fight, and Maskaev beat him twice. No need to suffer a third loss from Oleg.........

If Rock were to get a rematch with theupcoming Tua Barrett rematch, that would be decent.

Whenever boxing decides to actually go by its old rules that a fighter works his way up by beating contenders and being active to earn a shot at whatever title is in question. Briggs 4 fights. 3 years, nobody top30 much less top 10

2007 Sultan Ibragimov 20-0 L12 Briggs lands 53 punches total :rofl

until he landed a lucky punch in the last round to win...

we can hardly call these world championship fights anymore
    just call the wbc title
    ibf title
    wba title

hard for me to swallow audley and brigggs fighting for the same titles as mike tyson did whole knocking out top 10 guys and unifying the belts against other champions

...things are really a mess in the HW division. Some competitive fights can be made but it seems that most would rather feast on bums while waiting for a big money fight. Can you really blame a guy for doing that though?

As far as fighting the Klitchko's is concerned, there are two kinds of heavyweights . Those that will, and those that won't. When guys like Povetkin and Haye won't, that opens it up for guys who will, like Rachman and Briggs.

Adamek is a good fighter and I would love to see him fight Haye. That is a good match-up of two very good fighters. Are they the two best HWs? Probably not, but who cares? They might be #3 and #4 though.

Tua vs. Barrett II has raised some interest, the first fight was good.

Arreola is tough and fun to watch, put him in with another aggressive fighter (like Odlanier Solis perhaps) and it should be a good fight.

The little bit I cared was thrown out the window when he openly acknowledged he was fighting Wlad for the payday and proceeded to fight like it.
