I think you guys are both pretty right. Yes Rahman has a good jab for any pro HW and his hands are heavier than the average HW, but he is often sloppy and inaccurate and has looked very ordinary in many fights because he doesn't always use his strength (fighting off the jab) and he often comes in way too heavy. He was a very dangerous hw for a couple years around the early 2000's and a decent hw at times more recently (where he wasn't as explosive, often plodding, but had enough ability to do farily well with the mediocre contenders of the era around 2005-2008). Rahman is an enigma and wasted his best years through underpreparation

BTW i see no disgrace in rahman taking this fight: it's how he makes his money, he's probably been in even worse shape than usual due to inactivity, and it's good to get a little momentum. It would be a disgrace if Rahman were to some how be in line for an eliminator off of this and another fight or two versus similar comp

I think he's gonna have to beat a few scrubs, beat someone in the top 10-15, then get an eliminator. So you're talking 4-5 fights. I read he may not even be goin for a title shot and this is just his last hurrah year and wants to go out on a good note.

I can see him maybe getting a title fight for the WBA. Or WBC. He won't go near Wlad, we all know that. He could wait for Vitali to retire since he is suppose to retire this year or go after the Haye-Ruiz-Valuev love triangle for the WBA belt.
